Hi people,

thanks for the comments sorry for the delay been offline.

I think I am resigned to having to pay her more... GREAT!! But like you have said at least it draws a line under it all.


Since I have notice of severed joint tenancy, I have had a letter from her solicitors, pre action letter of claim stating:

'our client is the legal and beneficial joint owner of the property and is entitled to exactly one half of the value of the same'.

The difference is only minor, few grand, but I would prefer her not to get her hands on it. Has she shot her self in the foot here? Land registry are saying we are now tenants in common and I have proof by way of bank statements and a letter from her stating I put in an extra few thousand. Why are her solicitors stating she is legal/beneficial joint owner when they severed the joint tenancy I wonder?
