Whatever colour you can imagine, that's the magic.

In that case, I'm definitely in!

Almost 5 months since the OP's last post on PH - he's probably still tending to the magic beans he was sold and wondering why there's no beanstalk...

My friend does this. Buys 20' containers secondhand and makes sure they're wind and watertight. Stacks them 2 x high. He's got loads of them (hundreds). £10 a week. 24 hour access. Good security. They're on a big big site with a house on it that he lives in. Does ok too. It's a popular service.

Perfect to store firearms and coke shipments? hehe

I'm joking.

I also know a chap who has about a dozen on his secure yard and lets them out as storage - also does well out of them.

eta - charges a lot more than a tenner a week though

That makes perfect sense - he has the physical containers.

The 'investment opporuntinuty' that the OP introduced was quite different!

How do you get access to second level?

I have downloaded their draft contract document, obviously you insure your containers against damage and total loss, they offer a buy back at current value immediatly and at the price you paid after two years.
They can make alsorts of promises if they actually never have to follow through.

Ladder / Stairs / FLT perhaps. I guess it depends on what gets stored in the upper level. Not cars, presumably.

The oldest ones have a deck-type platform between the two levels accessed by fixed stairway at the sides. The rest use what's best described as a 'mobile mounting block(s)'. And, yes, clearly there are limitations on the 'uppers', though it's hard to overestimate the range and variety of demand there is for this type of storage. Some are virtually permanent 'work premises'. Some are lock-up-and-leave. I like it very much as a business.
