HSBC has retards in charge.
Discussion
I was speaking to a colleague yesterday about HSBC.
Her father has recently died and she sent off the required forms to remove his name from the joint ISA that he shared with his wife, along with requested documents such as death certificate etc.
They waited three weeks only to receive a letter asking for his signature as they required his permission first!

That's about par for the course, I had similar when trying to sort my dad's affairs out with them after he died, one Muppet at their end said he could only deal with my dad as it was his account. I don't put that down to HSBC policy just the thick sts they employ Her father has recently died and she sent off the required forms to remove his name from the joint ISA that he shared with his wife, along with requested documents such as death certificate etc.
