Looking to open a Chase account...
So if I transfer £500 into the account each month I will earn 1% cash back on the following months purchases, and if I want to I can immediately transfer that £500 back out of the account and still get the 1% cash back?
Not if you've spent it. So if I transfer £500 into the account each month I will earn 1% cash back on the following months purchases, and if I want to I can immediately transfer that £500 back out of the account and still get the 1% cash back?

About £300 in there and top up every so often.
Thanks for the advice.
I have just opened a Chase account and added the debit card to Apple Pay. I paid in £500 and then moved £400 of that into the linked savings account, it may as well sit there getting the 3% until I need to start moving it back into the current account.
Main reason for opening it is for our holiday in USA, but I reckon it will become my normal means of banking/spending.

Also got my £100 cash top-up today on the Nutmeg ISA, great stuff.
The ISA - 80% Equities / 20% Bonds - has gained £110 on the £6k I initially deposited as a lump sum (with no extra contributions made or planned for the year).
So, a return of 3.5% currently with the £100 bonus included - or just 0.2% more than if I’d just the £6k in the Chase 3.3% savings account (and higher interest is available elsewhere of course).
I’d like it to reach at very least a 3.5% return without the £100 bonus included, but it’s early days yet.

Chase raising interest to 4.1% on the 14th. Too little, too late, so back to Marcus at 4.3% from today.
have chase ever beaten marcus lately? I leave savings untouched in marcus but keep a few k for day to day spends in chase savings then drip feed it into the debit account to then get the cash back on. Having a Chase account and their card on my iPhones Apple Pay worked perfectly during ny recent holiday in USA. Used it for all my purchases and when needed I topped up the account from my Lloyds account via my phone.
Not sure if I will carry on using it now I'm back home, but the cash back is nice.

Fraudulent payment out of my account on Friday. Currently with the fraud team and I'm expecting an answer by end of Monday. Will find out if I'm still banking with Chase by Tuesday...
However I will say that the benefit of not having the actual card number printed on the card meant they could cancel my number and issue a new number in seconds without me having to cut up the old card and wait for a new one in the post.

I’ve been making the maximum £15 cashback a month for a while now just with everyday spending, supermarket, fuel, etc. Every little helps! Not sure if I will carry on using it now I'm back home, but the cash back is nice.

I use Chase & Lloyds the same way. Why wouldn’t you want to continue getting the cash back here? Not sure if I will carry on using it now I'm back home, but the cash back is nice.

A bit of a follow up for the above following a phone call, although I will add I work in the credit card industry so possibly know more than the support person I spoke to...However I will say that the benefit of not having the actual card number printed on the card meant they could cancel my number and issue a new number in seconds without me having to cut up the old card and wait for a new one in the post.
This was the second SkyBet transaction. The first was 10 minutes earlier, but was automatically reversed. The second transaction therefore used a card that was "on file" so bypassed the 3DS security check.
So my advice for anyone that gets a Chase notification for an unknown transaction which is then reversed, is to transfer all your funds as quickly as possible to a different account before the second transaction comes through and can bypass their poor security.
I now have to wait up to a month to hopefully get my £190 back.
