What’s your big gamble? (Volume 2)
Discussion
The market is nuts - just over a week ago I was at at £2,500 loss in total (sorry, realise I am small fry) and that pays for a nice holiday.
Thanks to buying back into BOO and CINE at just the right time by the looks of things I have just a paper profit of £500.
Kicking myself that I don't have pendulous balls like some here. I stuck £1K into my 212 account this morning but only bought £500 of CINE. Arrrggghhhh.
What happened? Just fell by 20% in a second !!!!!

Guessing someone must have offloaded a load at 65p which mad it sink back down.
I am holding out for £1.00 a share and aiming to double up...
Per my questions above, I don't understand the shorts game. The data still shows big holdings but is several days out of date and suspect some have reduced or closed.I am holding out for £1.00 a share and aiming to double up...
Possible a price gets run up by the same parties to cover a loss.
I bought in as a long term thing. All this bouncing about is an education.

AA broken 40p, not sure how much more it can keep going.
With 3-4 competing names in the mix, the threat of AA being able to refinance their immediate debt cheaply, and the share price being a small component of the overall buy price, there must be people taking a view that 40p is to be viewed as a *minimum* takeover offer.greggy50 said:

I was just wondering why my nice gain almost vanished in a flash. I am holding out for £1.00 a share and aiming to double up...
The variables in the market are equally fascinating as they are frightening.

Indeed, I cant claim to understand it as I only started trading due to COVID-19 and coming across this thread whilst bored...The variables in the market are equally fascinating as they are frightening.
Its made me a few £ and given me a hobby so wont complain. I struggle not to be doing something so this whole lock down period has been difficult for me despite me still working full time.

just got in - wow look at cine and everything else normal up - which is annoying when i mostly have pharma which tends to go down when ftse goes up! surprised cine didnt get a speeding ticket - was there any reason for the rise today bar its tuesday?
You seem to be confusing CINE with an AIM share...petemurphy said:

1. fkery2. There was a ruling in the US yesterday that removes some of the limitations in the industry in terms of who can own what. The big studios can now buy cinema chains. So there's some takeover hype here, too.

Made a mistake in selling out Dignity... big rise today.
Me too. When the pandemic was full on the share priced crashed. When pandemic part 1 is over the share price increases. Surely pandemics are good news for funeral companies. Anyway I missed out on todays rise.Gassing Station | Finance | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
