£25. Rolling 12 months interest 0.9%. Still better than some banks are offering.

Boy £25 on £25k

premium bonds were on martin lewis show recently with him saying more you put in better chances winning, seems to be true from posts

Nothing for me on 8k so I've withdrawn the lot and it's going into the mortgage next week. I was going to buy 50ks worth of bonds in a couple of weeks but I don't think I'll bother now and I'll put it in ford money's one year bond and get 825 quid in guaranteed interest instead.

Pbs are useful however if you have a lot of cash to squirrel away as the winnings are tax free etc but I hear of so many people not winning these days that I don't think I'll be bothering with them again unless I've built up a lot of savings and investments elsewhere.

My Premium Bond results with 50k invested are:
2019 : £475
2018 : £825
2017 : £550
2016 : £525

So you probably wont match £825, but you might, or you might exceed it by a long way. For the sake of a couple of hundred pounds of interest, to me its worth a gamble.
If I have crunched the numbers correctly, in percentage terms that works out at:

2019: 0.95%
2018: 1.65%
2017: 1.10%
2016: 1.05%

Not a great return really.
