Well Ladies and Gentlemen I received an envelope yesterday. 12 years ago my RBS ISA was paying naff all interest so I took 20K and bought PB's. Over the last 12 years I have probably done aswell as bank interest but my stars aligned yesterday and I got a 500% return on my initial investment! I am still stunned!
You jammy beggar!! It’s always those bloody Porsche drivers.
Seriously though, that’s bloody brilliant.
I’ve just had the email. I’m a winner.
Got to wait until I get home from nightshift to dig my file out for my holders details.
I know, I know, get the bloody app....
Stichill you’ll know this, is it true they phone you if it’s a big win and if you get told via email it’s only upto £1000 or something?
Edited - I’ve just reread your post and they wrote to you.

I read this thread every month as it's usually a good news thread, so it's nice to see it as a very good news thread too. Excellent news, congrats!stichill99 said:

That's bloody brilliant congrats on the win, I've just opened an account with £20k so fingers crossed.I'm hoping to see a thread from you titled "I've just won a £100k on Premium Bonds and here's my new super car"
Unfortunately no supercar seller will be getting my money Milkbuttons! I have had a 993 for 8 years and it is my forever car! It took years and years of saving and sacrificed holidays etc. It is serviced by myself/brother who is a trained mechanic and nothing is skimped but it has not been at a garage for a service since I bought it but has been serviced every year until this one but has done so little it will survive until next backend!
It is not concours but is a tidy useable example with 102'000 miles. I have done a distributor refurb this year and I bought a set of new RS side sills from German ebay at £620, New Eibach pro-kit from UK ebay for £80 and a set of brand new Koni special actives from a gent on 911uk for £550!
When I see what others will spend on servicing/paintwork it makes me cringe as I just could not. I don't earn enough to spend like some do but don't begrudge them their pleasure.
As for my PB win I have my eye on a cottage that a couple in their 80's have which I think would make a cracking holiday let but will just be patient and wait on it coming to the market.
I think the stock market is in a bubble and if we keep printing money we will end up like Zimbabwe so it will be a savings account for now. Thanks for the congratulations all!

Dad gave me and my brother money for Christmas but insisted we put it into premium bonds. Made an account with £100 just to open it and will put the rest in later. I'm not expecting much return but he's got the maximum and regularly gets 3-4 wins a month of £25 and £50's
I have the full amount invested and have only ever got £25 per month. Someone is getting my share, now I know whom stichill99 said:

That's a beautiful car, the 993 is my favourite porsche to date, enjoy the car and the money congratulations once again. It is not concours but is a tidy useable example with 102'000 miles. I’m gonna roll my PB winnings into btc.
Wife’s winnings are topping up her PB account to maximum.
Deffo worth maxing out PB now as any ‘normal’ bank account is basically a joke.
Gov and BofE should be ashamed what they’re doing with interest rate suppression.
The idea of savings is impossible now.
My niece is trying to save for a house deposit.
Interest rates at near zero and inflation means losing money.
Subsequent asset inflation means a 10pc deposit is going up each year way beyond her ability to even save.
A year of saving and she’s further behind then when she started.
Great “economy“ eh.
I hope the lot explodes. No pain no gain.
