Well done all on AA - I had a major client incident to deal with so missed sticking in first thing. He has cost me more than my fee !
EDIT - bloody hell - look at CINE as well !!!!
Deep breath - any bargains left ? Average down on Menzies or something else?
I’m thinking about investing in ClearScore - down 66%ish and they are about to roll out some pretty interesting tech in the UK. EDIT - bloody hell - look at CINE as well !!!!

Advertising obviously massively hit but they should survive, or be bought out by JCD.

4d.... up over 40% now...
have actually bothered reading some more about them today ( having bought a week ago thats how research works right.. ) and they do look good tbh. tempted to add more although will see what direction it goes tomorrow. i will be an expert biochemist at the end of this year at this rate! wish aa would have a bid done so i can use that money as dont reallly want to sell anything else at the mo as there are a lot potentials at the mo. wish i had MCRB today but lse tells me DDDD is better so it must be..500 Miles said:

I haven’t done anything to my portfolio since about last Wednesday. Today up 5.93%!!!! Mainly thanks to IAG.
I have 8% cash I may use to top stuff up. Menzies looking tempting.
Annoyed I couldn’t sell AVCT. I tried to sell at 144 to take 6% but wasn’t having any of it so I just left it.
Last Wednesday I was 16% down on whole portfolio now just 3%.
Nice result AimingHigh and Chris - I thought I was doing well at 2.9% up - definitely better than usual. Surprising as my largest share (IDP) didn’t move and my 2nd largest (RBG) was down over 3%! I have 8% cash I may use to top stuff up. Menzies looking tempting.

I’d be happy if tomorrow was level... would be too much to hope for an increase...

I've got some spare cash, I'm torn between 4D & CINE for the morning. Any thoughts to ease my decision are appreciated.
Toss a coin... probably has a such chance of selecting the right answer.. For me.. I would choose CINE.. hold both but have a lot more CINE... Primarily because whilst I think it will be a slower riser, I think there is a stronger chance of it sustainably rising..
4D could rise spectacularly tomorrow, or it could plummet back to earth.. to fair, so could Cine..
Think I’ve covered all bases.. in summary.. both, or one, will either go up or fall.. one potentially more than the other. Do you think I could get a job at motley fool?

I still think Costain is a bargain
I hope so, currently down 30% from my average of 80p. Costain looks interesting - with results on Thursday I think they could be worth a punt.. they can’t go lower...

Every time I think about dumping SHI for not doing anything, it has a little bounce.
A bit like the crazy gf who annoys you to the point of dumping her, then she turns up looking hot and you give her another chance..
Up 2.45% so far today.. the st popcorn company playing a blinder again, everyone’s favourite fat fashion company also doing well (up 140% overall, 8.4% today), AML, MWG, VMUK, Superdry and Ted all up between 8 and 14%.
4D down 5% after yesterday’s gains.. bought into costain at the beginning of the day... obviously now in a loss because I bought at open... never learn.
Biggest share down 0.5%.

I suspect the Americans prefer to buy the CINE share listed on NASDAQ (I think) CNWYG. That way they buy/sell in dollars so avoid currency fluctuations. Same reason I stick to the UK markets as I can't cope with currency fluctuations as well as sp and spread fluctuations. CINE is dual listed.
Fingers crossed re a lift for CINE in the US and fingers crossed a studio wants to buy them.

If you google CNWYG it comes up with a YouTube video called “fk bees”... I didn’t watch it..
CNWGY Contains less fking and less bees.. says that Nasdaq CINE is up 30%.
Been out of contact for last few hours - was Cine actually up 50%? Still a fraction of where it was pre-Covid.. could get interesting. Although all it takes is for the takeover rumours to subside and we’ll be wishing we had cashed in.
Virgin Galactic - now that is a gamble! No revenue and a $4bn mcap that could literally go bang, taking with it the rich and famous.. Adam, bring the barrow! On the plus side, the ticker is SPCE... half tempted..
Clear Channel up 10% - Costain up 7% - thanks for the tip.
Missed out on Dignity despite looking at them again..
Overall up 4.38% on the day (although have a couple of US shares now so that will change).
I’m now worried that we’ll suffer a big correction - I’m generally positive but we can’t have 3 good days in a row..
Just noticed that AA is down almost 5%... oh well..

Good day today apart from my ongoing holdings in wirecard. Should I stomach a few hundred in losses and jump ship or just hold it long term
Personally, I would dump them - I’ve not been following too closely this week but surely they’re in the death rattle stage? Usual caveat... don’t listen to me

And out of AA at 38p been a good run since getting in quite heavy early on for 16p. GLA those still holding, cant see a bid being much more than circa 45p given the substantial increase from low mid 20's so I'm moving on.
Put 25% of the funds into saga today at 15.2p, no spike yet unlike all the other travel stocks and they have their insurance business going well no doubt ohh and two new cruise ships bringing in no revenue.... any thoughts on saga guys?
Congrats on your AA profits - great result, you can laugh at all us greedy fools in the next couple of weeks! On Saga, I wrote a bit about them in the first thread and I can’t remember all of it.. but in summary I think whilst most people think of Saga as a holiday company for the oldies, it’s actually an insurance company that does a few holidays. Ebit from insurance was something like £200m and ebit from travel was £20m - there will be some overlap with some insurance being for holidays but would expect the majority to be annual insurance.
It’s held them for a couple of months, currently down 8% but I think they’ll do well over the next few months.

CINE
I expect we are all grasping at straws hoping there will be an Amazon vs. Netflix bunfight to prise my CINE shares out of my hands in return for lots of filthy lucre. Show me the colour of your money Bezos.... ooops getting ahead of myself there.
What I meant to say was: Why has the law changed? Governments don't willy nilly picks laws and change them for the sake of it. It normally takes a load of lobbying and hassling and, in this case, maybe even money changing hands somewhere. Someone must have wanted this law changing and wanted it bad for it to be done right now. Maybe Bezos beating a path to my door with a wheelbarrow load of gold is not far wrong?
ETA: Just woke up, it was all a dream.

I was worried about today but overall it worked out well - up just under 1% in my non isa shares and 7% in my ISA shares, ISA driven mostly by ASOS.

CINE's a bloody exhausting share to be involved with. Now averaged down to 57p with around 84000 shares. My nerves can't take it anymore.
Crikey 84,000 shares! I can see how that could be stressful. Pretty strange day today - looks like a lot of my shares are down but due to a few shares that went up a decent amount (N Brown, RBG, 4D, Amigo, bids) I ended in positive territory. The losers of the day are too many to mention but include my biggest share and Capita which has actually climbed to being my 4th largest share... scary..
Topped up on IDP and RBG today.
