I use cash for pretty much everything but especially at small businesses.

I'm aware of their costs for using the card machines and try and do my bit to help out smile

I have a £20 in my wallet I withdrew from an ATM in January. I never use cash unless a place won't take cards. And even then I'll think before visiting that retailer/pub/restaurant.

To those saying cash allows them to keep a track of spend? How? Unless you write down everything you buy. With a credit card you can check online what you've spent.
I'm exactly the same. Id even choose to buy my lunch in a place that took card over a small shop that didn't.
Still got a tenner in my wallet from the £20 I drew out last year. I buy several things every day of the week.

Also when out in a busy bar every round is going to be over a tenner so why not pay on card? haven't taken cash into town for about 5 years now.

Paying for a round of drinks with a card is, and will always be plain wrong.

It's wrong. Did I say that?
