Sold my Slack when it shot up this afternoon. I honestly can't find a reason why it was moving up and decided to bank the profit.

Honestly what the hell is up with Tesla. Is it literally just fanboys with a few quid and FOMO? It’s worth half a TRILLION apparently. There is simply no way it stacks up.

It will be interesting what happens when it lists on the S&P 500, that's when serious investors will start to really drill down on the fundamentals (in theory, they may just ride the cool aid bubble and hope to get out in time).

Hasn’t it already been added to the 500?

It’s been approved to be added. Not actually there yet until December 1st

Ah right. More jumping on the bandwagon to come them I’m sure. Musk will be hyping it to death on the 2nd.

With the funds needing to take a stake of it proportionate to its weight in the S&P then the demand for the stocks is crazy right.

Apparently Tesla’s value equates to $1m in market cap for every car sold so far in total.

Holy hell.

Could anyone please explain the AVEVA deal at the moment.
The shares sit at around 3305 at the moment.
There is a refinancing offer on the cards buying 7 additional new shares for every 9 existing shares at a discount price around £22
There seems to be trading already on going at a price of around 1042.
How do you trade something you haven't yet bought.

Odd prediction given the we're going pure EV production in 9 years times.

You'd be well advised to ignore my input on shares generally, but I think Luke when you refer to "we" you mean the UK, <1% of the planet's population? I do hope the Tesla share price is not entirely due to Boris' hot air.

Isn’t the opposite predicted to happen because fund managers are obliged to buy sp500 stocks whereas now they can ignore Tesla.

It is 2020 we should be having scapage schemes for the first generation of hover cars by now.

Re Tesla I mean the hype right now once it is in the S &P 500 people might not see the need to buy and hold it. The company don't pay a dividend and once the extreme growth is reached where is there to go? other manufacturers are quickly catching up with their own electric tech

Which EV company is closest to having a desire able brand led, EV with fully automatic self driving ?

When you say where else is there to go, I don’t think you are factoring in full automation. It may not ever be achievable, but I genuinely believe Tesla is in the top three of most likely.

I can’t decide whether cashing in now is prudent or lunacy.

The Giga’s are coming online, the panels are dropping in price, the battery tech is best in class. They literally have the world at their feet right now.

Is it really? Compared to say a Taycan which you can famously launch over and over and over all day?
