Me too now. The last week or so was a bit confusing! Out of interest what's your average price paid? Unfortunately I was late to the party and its. 37.7 so still a way to go for me.
A bit lower than that in my ISA and around the same in my SIPP. I'm not concerned though as I'm in for the long run on this.

From what I've been reading somebody has been shorting QPP which has pulled it down a little. It's been a great opportunity to top up though.

Had LLOY not dropped yesterday I'd have bought more.

Another opportunity to buy (Life) Insurers today as they all tumble on the threat of FCA intervention in their little old pots of gold........

A very positive continuation of yesterdays lift this morning which is nice to see. I topped up this morning at 37.40 and now testing 39.00 already. Dont have any more isa allowance to add more unfortunately but looking good for results day on Monday.

The chartists are suggesting 48-51p.

Within 26 days if I read correctly.

Monday's results are going to be big news.

I must admit to not really understanding any of the chartist stuff. Is there any backup or general acceptance to it? It seems a bit like drawing constellations in the stars - a bit 'ooh look if you draw a line between these two points it looks like a horse you see?' 'No?'. 'Well use your imagination a bit!'

hehe

I don't know much about it but that's kind of my take on it. You can draw a line pretty much anywhere on a chart and get it to predict pretty much anything you like.

That said. Bring on the 51p.

Bit of a back down on FCA's unconsulted leak to the press going on. Helped a bit of recovery in the insurers ...

Yes and no. Its interesting, and worth considering when making decisions. It doesnt tell you what will happen though, it tells you what to expect in event of 'x'. So for example, if the chart is downward and hitting support, the chart will throw up 3 questions - 1) if it breaks support then look for the next point of support and help you work out the size of the fall. 2) if it bounces off the support, how high will it bounce? 3) is it setting up to retest the support again, or are the bears tired and its going to retract?

Charting is an art, not a science. Show the same chart to 3 traders, you'll get 3 answers. It depends how they interpret the signals the chart is giving them. There are also hundreds of different charting tools, stochastics, RSI (relative strength indices), bollinger bands, simple moving averages, exponential moving averages, etc etc. No trader will look at them all, everyone has their favorites, and each chart will have things which work better than others.

So while I agree with whats been said about QPP on the website, I would have drawn my trend lines differently. Im also struggling to see his increase in volume. The chart is very weak going into the flag formation. It has moved higher, retracted slightly then paused. In general charts like this do want to push higher and are just waiting for the opportunity to do so. Catching breath if you will.
