Sneaky! Well done. Not tempted back in at 28?
Absolutely but no funds left
Jumped back into CCIV at 29.3 for a ST gamble, using some of IBs spare cash smile
sold at 32 which looks I timed very well, whether to jummp back in now....

overall slightly up today, a good day from EUA and ZNWD shat on by ETMC which I dumped at a very painful loss, should fly tomorrow now
That is good timing. I bought it as a LTH but it is tempting to try and trade some of this volatility to drop the average.

That’s quite a premium on 5p, you might well be right though given hype and brand Beckham

Are you able to place a GTC buy order now as I’m not ?
Not sure re GTC. If people start dumping mid morning do you think CBX will have enough interest over the pond to get a leg up around lunchtime?

This is what I’m getting so far with HL. I tried to do a Fill/Kill but wont accept it.

Just my 2p

If you can get in early (I imagine it might open around 7-8) this might rise to 12-15 on froth and hype alone, probably in first few hours and then settle and fall as everyone dumps their IPO profit when they think the rise is slowing.

Not sure why US would give a two figs really, they have enough US cannabis stocks to PnD, unless I am missing some marketing hype over there

As a LTH do you have a take on the 7bn MC?

CCIV is one of those flash in the pans day stocks that has extended life, on Friday 12th Feb it first appeared at 34.40 in the futures and got to about $40 that day before going a lot higher later.

It has so far outlasted weed stocks. smile Not sure it has too many legs left though... I think the bandwagon might have moved on.

The merger values the enterprise around 25bn. For a business that hasn't made a production vehicle yet, that seems toppy. However, there's something like $4bn in the bank, brand new production facilities and significant value in the IP. On paper the people look credible, the product looks good and the investors, like PIF, aren't usually throwing money at rubbish. If they can deliver a fraction of their high level objectives then things look alright.

Beware the confirmation bias, but there's plenty of stuff like this (https://seekingalpha.com/news/3666320-rivian-lucid-and-fisker-called-ev-winners-by-cfra) around at present. There are numerous detailed due diligence threads on reddit. I think everyone agrees $60 was too much.

For context, the talk is of $50bn IPO for Rivian (https://insideevs.com/news/486965/rivian-ipo-public-2021/). Fisker is at $6bn. NIO is $74bn and Tesla is $655bn.

I don't like talking specific numbers but I am not into this in a big way and I'll probably hedge it by increasing my VW holding.

I should be applying your style and making shorter term trades while things are choppy but I don't have the time or inclination to stare at the numbers and I'm not trusting of limit trades based on historical experiences.

Oh for a platform that applies trailing stop losses on live values.

Sounds like IB which I use, limits work too and it’s cheap for live prices, I pay about $10/month for all US markets and that gets refunded if I trade enough.

Thanks for the useful stuff on CCIV

Nice 24% spike on Workhorse today, thank to a big fund buying more in. Of course, it's down 12% after hours, but in all the EV doom it's nice to see something go up.

I can't decide whether to get back into the green stocks, or just leave them be, FCEL, BEEM, NIO, XPEX etc. Hmmm...

Rio might be a dip bargain if UK suffers tomorrow, there's that juicy £2.88 div in two weeks

Missed a few pages as I had to do some work, instead of focussing on AMGO, after the call yesterday. Looks like more JPM buying and the RNS just came out for directors buys. Should be another good day. Held up well yesterday, considering a few will have taken profit from the run into results. Hopefully there's another leg up from here. There seemed to be a lot of confidence in getting past the FCA, SOA approval and the new business model going forwards.
