You can only send money to the account you funded it with, is that what you are doing?

yes as you type in the sort /acc the "tick" turns green , then press proceed or whatever it says and they both go red

Last thought, with most banks there is a daily £ limit on online withdrawals, might you be over it?

A lot of banks have a limit (around £20/25k?) on how much you can withdraw online on any one day.

Phone withdrawals generally no limit.

If you are trying to withdraw £100.00 to your nominated bank account and it isn't having it then I have no idea what is wrong - I would ring them.

Post back what it was when you find out, so we all know.

yes we called them up , it was a matter of their computer not recognizing our bank details that should match up with the account users name , they was happy enough to accept the funds from the same name /bank account

the call handler over rode the control and the money went through a few hours later

Have any considered Hargreaves Active Saver?

I'm trying to work out the downsides.

This is good news, thinking of sticking most of mine in here from now one - getting abit tedious chasing these rates smile Do have a Santander E-Saver when it appeared, but not much in here anymore tbh, just everyday spending - and I still enjoy CHASE its a great app and UI to use.

You set up an account with Hargreaves. They show a whole list of account saving deals, you pick which ones then your money gets moved into those accounts. You don't need to go through the whole process of opening account with different banks, you just select which account and move your funds.

Your funds are strictly held by Hargreaves and they have an account with the bank, your funds are put in a pot but it means you don't need to manage a whole load of different accounts with different banks and close them down when the interest deal finishes.

The funds are managed like their equity funds so if they go bust then your funds are held safe separately with the banks.

Since they earn their commission from the banks, I wonder whether you are getting the same deal as if you opened an account directly with the bank.
