Interesting day...
Down almost 2% first thing, ended just up.
I would say over half of my shares were down but had a few that helped negate the losses - mainly 4D (up another 10% - thanks for the tip), Clear Channel (up over 6% - thanks for the tip) , bidstack (up almost 16% - thanks for the tip) and N Brown (up over 5%).
N Brown has done really well become a triple bagger and my 3rd biggest gainer from a pound perspective. Who would have thought fat fashion could be so lucrative.
Biggest losers were Air Partner (down 8%), EasyJet (down over 6%), Skin, mwg and amigo (all down circa 5%).
Really good week, if only every week could be like that... preferably ending the week on a high!
Topped up on RBG and IDP.

Who else is in Amigo and what are you in at?
I’m in at around 8.7p I think, so circa 5% underwater... I’m half considering upping my stake.
I know I’ve previously said it was a basket case, this hasn’t changed... will think about it over the weekend more but any thoughts?
As I write this, I’m probably talking some sense into myself... mmmm...

Rumours over on LSE forum about Metrobank wanting to take over Amigo ?
Could well be just that as can't find anything to back it up ......
I saw that but it didn’t sound right... Could well be just that as can't find anything to back it up ......
They’ve just acquired rate setter... would they really do two acquisitions when the market is already concerned about them? I’m not sure I would be very comfortable with one financial services company with a recent history of financial incompetence joining forces with another fs company which has significant issues... obviously I'm invested in both
Plus... would Amigo fit Metro Banks image?
Down 0.5% today overall - mostly driven by my largest share being down a hefty amount, obviously Capita, Cine, ALGW or the AA did absolutely nothing to help the situation.... I'm surprised it wasn’t down more.
The heroes of the day were - Bids (up 32%), bwng (I love this share - up 15% today and 250% overall), deep matter, SKIN, HZM, NRR, TRX and MPO all up between 5 and 10%. Many thanks to those that tipped the heroes.
Not the best start to the week but certainly not the worst!

Re AMGO
first confirmation from James Benamor that although he is still having to sell his shares 1% a day, he wants to return to the Board of Directors now the previous CEO has returned.
If he wants to be back in the company he will want to have a large shareholding.
It is highly possible he or someone on his behalf is buying some of his own shares back each day - all still bonkers!
Also there seems to be a mechanism that means he can call a shareholders vote and also stop selling when he gets to 10% which will be in about 10 days.
by coincidence, Amigo have announced they will publish first quarter results and a trading update on 28th August ...
They also issued the funding update today including that cash in the bank has risen to £145 million
Crazy situation - I was going to increase my holding today (definitely a gamble) however it spiked first thing on the RNS before retracing a bit... now 50/50 on whether to increase or not.. have a decent number of shares so the sensible thing to do is probably ride it out and see what happens. first confirmation from James Benamor that although he is still having to sell his shares 1% a day, he wants to return to the Board of Directors now the previous CEO has returned.

IDP launched a new brand into the UK today - it’s a men’s skincare brand - details can be found on the website - https://www.charlesandlee.co.uk/
Obviously we can now add this to the list of gifts we can order for our loved ones.. alongside Cineworld tickets, Fake Tan, magazines from Menzies and large clothes from Jacamo...

All those shares you've bought and they still can't afford a marketing budget so you don't have to? Obviously we can now add this to the list of gifts we can order for our loved ones.. alongside Cineworld tickets, Fake Tan, magazines from Menzies and large clothes from Jacamo...

I have savoured that virtual pint tonight :-)
Capita results tomorrow... 5th largest holding so I reckon their results will dictate whether I’m overall in the blue or red tomorrow...
Who else is in?
Capita was one of the threads earliest tips (think it was me to blame), I was lucky and got in near the bottom and now up 98%, it’s been one of those shares that doesn’t seem to do too much but actually slowly crawls north on a very zig zaggy (that’s a technical financial services term btw) path.
The problem with the shares being up so much is that I now think I’m crazy to hold so many shares of a crap company... just can’t bring myself to sell them ... if the sp recovers to even 30% off their precovid highs then it would be a great result.
Obviously tomorrow they’ll probably announce a rights issue - gulp!

Like I said, Capita to take a massive bath
fk Capita! What makes it worse... last night I had a quick look at the percentage increases... in my mind Capita was up circa 10%... but when I looked it was up 98%... confused but happy I fell into a good sleep...
Then see the results, shareprice hammered... console myself that it’s ok - I’m still up a sizeable amount... looked again... must have read the AA percentage... I’m now in the red on Capita
bks to Capita - have a shed load tied up with them as well which could have been earning (or losing to be fair) elsewhere...
Oh well... I still maintain it’s a good st or bust share - hoping to make a multiple of the investment... just probably not in 2020 now..
I see some decent risers today - congrats to all that have found the golden goose
