Yeah, I've got a TR3. I bought it for £1200, done it up, now it's worth 3 grand.
I thought they were worth a lot more than thathttps://www.classic-trader.com/uk/cars/search/triu...

I wash, rinse, and dry toilet paper.
Surely this must be a winner in the frugality and general tight 'arse' categories. And imagine wiping your arse on used toilet paper.

Helped me run my Elise for three years, sold that back to the dealer for nearly what I paid for it.

I work overseas so my living costs are quite low, however I've recently noticed the cleaner where I stay leaves out a bar of soap, so I've stopped buying shower gel. She's not quite so quick at replacing it, so I've got an emergency bar that I use and hide until she notices and puts out a new one.
I buy shower gel in bulk 6 X 500ML bottles at a time. Used Camelcamelcamel to track the price and bought them at £8.99https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01F232ROQ/ref...
Due to less plastic packaging it's better for the environment too so win win win.
Soap gets bits of body hair stuck in it which is not pleasant to leave for the next person if you live with other people so takes extra time to wash it out. I don't see it being any quicker than using a liquid soap like shower gel.
Back to cheapness, I do water down my shower gel with about 25% water as it's always far too gloopy neat and you use it up quicker.

Soap was mentioned earlier: what to "cheap" PHers do as the size of the bar gets very small? Do you consolidate it with other bits or do something else?
R.
I used to leave a collection in the sink to soak then mould it all together. OH has found a kit which I think has molds to pour it into as she likes making crafty type stuff, but personally I think that's a step too far for me anyhow. I do have limits...R.

Still don't get it, care to explain?
It is a quote from 'The Office'.David is introducing a new recruit and asks Gareth to tell him about his car and that was what he said.

An old friend once decided to rent a particular flat due to the heating and hot water didn't work ( the boiler was broken) this was 10 pounds a week cheaper than the others. There was hot water out of an electric shower over the bath.
Also the same person would want to go halves on a naan bread at the local curry house when we all walked home with chips and Madras sauce after a night on the beer. He knew half way home some of us would get fed up with the food and he'd whip out his half naan and eat all the leftovers.
