Best option for writing a basic will?
Discussion
Hi All,
It is about time I sorted out a will. Single bloke, no kids, own a flat, so it should be a pretty simple DIY job? I was thinking of an equal split of all assets between my brother, sister and mother. They all get on, so there won't be any squabbling. Do I even need a will in this case?
I have been given a copy of GSP Will Maker software. It's about 15 years old I think, not even sure if it will run on my PC. Would this still be suitable?
I have seen a Lawpack kit for sale in WH Smiths for £10, would this be a better option? I would prefer something I can type up and sign rather than have to write out.
I could download a template from the Compact Law website that I found through Moneysavingexpert: http://www.compactlaw.co.uk/free-legal-documents.h...
This looks to be the simplest option as it is just a Word document and fairly short.
What do you think I should do?
Cheers,
Alex
