hey guys, after some advice really!

i am a 20yr old male and im after a new tv, however i cant get credit!

i cant be arsed to save up and would find it easier to just pay monthly for it as i dont mind paying the 20/30quid a month for the have it now factor

went to currys but got refused credit,as i have a bad credit score i presume?

i've got a phone on contract, 11months in - never missed payment
sky tv, 2nd month and havnt missed a payment

been renting my own place for 4months now, and was in a rented place before that for 6 months

bank account is healthy as it can be, money going in and out regularly!

just wondering why i got refused for credit, and what i could do to improve it,

decided im going to get a credit card, by the tv and chop the credit card after purchase, then pay back double the minumum monthly payment, the apr on cards is cheaper than apr on currys finance, 6.7% on money supermarket iirc

any suggestions as where id be able to get credit online, or how to improve my score would be greatly appreciated!

thanks

i am not on the eltoral role in this house, i was registered in my old gaff though

as for getting in debt for a tv, its just a 20/30quid a month so i can have something now, id rather not save up otherwise it will probably be ages!

im full time employed as a painter and decorator and have been for a year now,

seen the 3d tv's and imo i dont think they are that good, i find myself distracted by the edges of the screen!

im not a normal 20year old...well i dont think so, depends what catorgory u think of a 20yr old

ive in a strong longterm relationship, got a child, own house, not council, work 40+hours a week etc, trying to do the best i can aye!

aye, i think i may have to buy one!

luckily i work redecorating council houses and quite a lot of people want other rooms doing,

50quid a room that takes me an hour or two after work to knock out seems reasonable! may just have to save these up!!

want one now tho....grrrrr goddam gluttony!

some good comments there

i dont get these foreigners everyday, they just crop up once in a while, so would take a while to save these up!

missus dosent mind what we do, and my parents dont really matter as i have been moved out for a while now and they see me as independant

just think getting it on finance would be easier as i could have it now rather than waiting to save it up although i think now that i may have to save up and do that, or sell my beloved powerkite to fund the cause!

thanks for all the advice chaps!! i have taken note, ill let you all know what tv i end up with etc

i havnt got a HD tv, but a friend works for sky, so we have a deal where the basic package is 18quid a month, we get it for 9quid, likewise to add extra packages are 50p each, it had free installation, free box and free hd subscription?

we also had a home phone installed and the internet at the same time
