I know it's stupid, but .... (stuff in the shed thread)
Discussion
Last year I got sick of replacing the belt in the Flymo for £10 every couple of months, so I bought an old, non functioning Suffolk Punch petrol lawnmower for £5 on ebay. I stripped it down and fixed it up and it's been going strong ever since.
About 6 years ago i sold my motorbikes. I still have the aftermarket exaust from the blade. It resides in the shed, providing a home to many small insects, immediately adjacent to the lawnmover.
For a while now I've had this little voice in the back of my head and it just won't go away.

Or is it too silly?

It is silly and should be done.
My parents had a Suffolk Punch exactly like the one in your picture since way before I was born (I'm 30) in fact I think it was my mum's dad's before. It gave up the ghost about 15 or so years ago, Dad bought another one very cheap and fixed up the broken one. They still have it and it still works fine.
"They don't make 'em like that anymore, son".

I knew i'd come to the right place.
I shall report back with my progress. I think a custom paint job might be nice, plus perhaps one of those rubber bra things that Volkswagon people like. It's already "slammed" as i like the grass nice and short![smile](/inc/images/smile.gif)
I'm not sure it's poissble to contrive a reason to fit lambo doors on a lawnmower though![hehe](/inc/images/hehe.gif)

Top hinge on the sides of the grass tray. For easier unloading of the grass.I shall report back with my progress. I think a custom paint job might be nice, plus perhaps one of those rubber bra things that Volkswagon people like. It's already "slammed" as i like the grass nice and short

Also you know it's all about a flame job. Or pinstriping.
