Plans needed for camera retrieval
Discussion
You know I hadn't realised you were so close to where we live. As we're about 100 yards from the Cam, please let me know when the second attempt will be made. I can't offer any really useful tools, but I could do with a laugh.
Suggestion - waterproof a cheap cctv camera (plastic bags and bathroom sealant) and a decent light source (LED so it should work under water anyway), then chug along the river with it a couple of feet off the bottom - look for glints from the metal casing?
Of course by now it's fairly likely to have a fine layer of silt on it, so spotting it is likely to be a challenge.

Yes that's him.
Strangely though the water in the picture is The River Thames, just west of London - are you telling us all the truth about this camera? - or it is secret Ice Station Zebra material and cutbacks in the service means your crack diving team (crack, diving - not 'crack diving') team have been disbanded?!
Crikey, you are still alive then!Strangely though the water in the picture is The River Thames, just west of London - are you telling us all the truth about this camera? - or it is secret Ice Station Zebra material and cutbacks in the service means your crack diving team (crack, diving - not 'crack diving') team have been disbanded?!
We need to catch up
p.s. Simpo is very interested in your cantelupe (seriously )
You're always welcome to pop round, each year I seem to be busier than the last - I'm hoping by the middle of next year to be less busy however. It would be helped if the bloody weather held off for a while too, this rain is a very bad thing.
