There is still a LOT more to do round the place, albeit mostly outdoors..

Balcony
Patio
Raise decking with wood fired tub
Build a ramp to the top cave to allow tractor driving and digger access

The list goes on laugh

Good stuff CTO. Have enjoyed this thoroughly. Good acquisition for the garden.

Think the island rather than the closed peninsula for the kitchen supports the social side of that space. However, we’ve gone peninsula on ours. May do a build thread but we’ve got no caves, no landrover and no chorus, so it’s not likely to be so fun.

The island bit is defo a win. I cooked last week while the guests and wife sat opposite me, knocking back bongs of fizz laugh

Tbh, it really worked and made cooking quite interactive. The only downside is that the more pissed the wife and guests got, the more opinions they had about the cooking……

Etc etc etc laugh

Terrific job. Looks like your downstairs loo is the same as the one we chose when we did the bathroom here. Assuming I'm correct, you should be able to flush a medium-sized badger should the need ever arise hehe

Well done, time to enjoy it all a bit,

CTO. I remember when this was being debated, my wife is in the biz, I came up with the helpful slogan.

Trick cyclists don't want cycle paths.

Ho Hum.

Given the slope you have, can you get a roll cage for the Countax?

Good call, I had the same machine and it was a wee bit rolly.

Fantastic to see you almost there. The whole is most definitely greater than the sum of its parts.

Evening all,

Well, the mower arrived today

It has a drinks holder, which I like, but, it also has a seat which seems to be coated in lard..

I spent most of my time traversing the slopes trying not not to slide out of the seat laugh

Absolute game changer though. I did the back lawn in about 15 mins, and the rest of the grass in another five.

Once the Chorus has gone, there will be more grass and there is also another lawn to the right of the house that is yet to be seeded. Looking forward to having a crack at that smile

I will keep updating the thread as we start to get the outside of the place sorted, and thanks to everyone that has shared the love on here…

Next big Q is; will the 10ft wide chorus, fit through the 12ft wide gate..

In theory it should, but in reality, I can see this happening….

Cheers all, smile

Need a beaded seat cover for the mower. hehe Nice work, your plasterer(s) earned their pay doing that ceiling!

Ridiculously trivial gripe; those crosshead screws stick out like a pimple on the nose of Michelangelo's David.

I don’t disagree,

But it was either that, or put me back out doing the emergency toilet paper scan, swivel and grab laugh

They’ll get replaced, in time, probably smile

I accidentally rode my motorbike past your house on Sunday, I did a double take and thought it looked familiar.
Had to check this thread to make sure.
I'm from Kidderminster but didn't know we had cave houses, thought that was just a Kinver thing.

It looks absolutely spectacular, it's inspired us to scour the area looking for something that needs renovation.

Add Velcro strips to the lawnmower seat, and also to your specialist lawn mowing trousers.

Get your Mrs to peel you off the seat afterwards smile

Excellent.

I was actually thinking about your build and you moving in the other week and what that must be like.

Here's to many happy years enjoying the fruits of your labour.
