I’ve been watching this one for a couple of months now - it’s modest compared to a lot here but I really like it.

I can’t work out why it’s not SSTC yet. Looks nice inside, manageable garden and some out buildings/garage etc. EPC is mid-range so not a money pit to heat. The only downside I can really see is that there is literally bugger all in the village ie no pub, shop etc.

Anyone know the area?

Yes…The en suite ‘window’ is perfectly positioned to allow someone sitting on the bed to make eye contact with someone sitting on the throne. Weird!

Had that in a few hotels… and it’s just wrong. Required to let light into the bathroom, but still wrong.

I have a friend that lives in the village - she says that there have been several planning applications put in to build behind the houses to infil the open land with loads of houses. She is to the north of this house (on the other side of the road) and currently has fields behind her house, but for how much longer, she isn’t sure.

Think it's quite likely that Wisley airfield will end up with several hundred houses on it unfortunately. They've done a good job of making that house look like it sits on its own in the photos but it's actually quite close to the road and nearby houses. I'm sure it was on the market a few months back, they must have pulled it and relisted

My parents live a few miles away - pretty sure the airfield estate plan is closer to 2,000 than 200 houses.

No way I'd be spending £4m+ to have a 2k housing estate at my back fence

There's no requirement to have a window in a bathroom at all. Most hotel bathrooms don't.

In this case it's obviously just so they can sit on the throne and look out at the view of the river, but in doing so they've compromised the position of the bed and created this weird situation. The natural position for the bed in that room would be where the bathroom window is, facing directly outwards. It's all a bit of a dog's dinner as it is.

Notwithstanding its 17 acres, isn't it rather hemmed in by the property to its LHS adjacent to the lane, which overlooks the pool area? Be interesting to see a plan of its grounds.

Drew Pritchard did well out of the interior though biggrin

Yeh that yank car workshop crap all over it is quite a strange one (don’t bother Jimi).

Nice place, possibly a bit large.

Yeah, when you see 17 acres you don't expect multiple neighbours 150 feet away.

Shame.

Shared driveway too by the look of it.

Yep, 1730 houses at the last count and carnage on all those roads as the developers seeks to make some one-way, some single-lane with priority for cyclists and all trying to access and egress the A3 through the Ockham A3 roundabout which will now also be taking all the traffic for Wisley RHS Gardens over a new bridge.

I agree, think it looks naff but that would all go anyway!

Seven oaks is a bit of an odd place to live not a lot going on and pretty uptight people!
