If you look at Streetview, the top of the road finishes actually on the Heath, and this is effectively on it, give or take, so its not actually on the road itself.
Yes, I saw but I still think you want to have views out over the heath for this money, there.

Seems to be a lot of multi-agency expensive stuff in Blackheath.

Flat in the Paragon?

Can someone tell me what's up with Lewisham?
When I were a lad, folks aspired to shopping in Lewisham, with Catford and Peckham contenders too. Bromley was like going to the west end.

That was the 50s and 60s. I lived in Deptford SE8 1952 to 1970 when I moved to Catford SE6. I think I'm qualified to say that since those days, Lewisham, in particular, has had the guts ripped out of it, the shops gone, the little houses gone and the lot replaced by cheap high rise flats, the ste shopping centre. and roads.

The station has improved no end and the DLR is brilliant but thats about it. Lewisham is just pretty rough; not Peckham or Tottenham rough but rough nonetheless. It has little charm although there are nice bits here and there.

Granville Park is on the edge of it and suffers from all the ailments the rest of place does. Being close to Blackheath is nice but my £11.5M would be buying something smaller in much nicer SW3 or SW7.

SE4, SE3, SE6, even SE8 and SE14, all of which border SE13, have much interesting bits, although I wouldn't bother with New Cross either.

I'd have thought someone with that sort of money probably has both, or at least a second option if they don't want a country pile.

I used to live up on blackheath way back in the 90s and there are some absolutely stunning houses round there and the new connections must make it an easy commute into the city and I suppose in London you are rarely far from an area that's a bit rough and ready.

I lived in one pretty similar to that (an HMO at the time)and the landlord lived in the one next door, I often wonder at what stage he cashed out.
Most of the big houses - and there are a lot - around there have been converted into flats which makes a lot sense as the number of people with £11.5M to spend on anice house won't be looking in Lewisham.

I went out with a girl who lived in a big house like that and I was amazed when I first visited, given that I lived on the second oldest block on the Pepys Estate at the time.

Peckham is trendy now. Much more desireable than Lewisham.

Nice plot, nice place...owner is a 'car' person.
And we know this becaise he's got a Urus?

I see he was as bold when speccing that as he was when decorating the house.

Isn't there a Ducati on the wall too?

I would say that someone willing to spend north of £150k on a Lambo is most likely a "car person" despite the Urus not appealing to some tastes

A car person would have something more interesting than a completely empty double garage. I'm not convinced anyone actually lives there at all.

Urus is more a 'status person' than a 'car person' IMO.

Looks like a bland new build to me with some token trinkets to tart it up

Its also too close to the neighbours for my taste who'd probably hate you if not as much as the developer who built it

I stuck this one up here months ago & it was not, shall we say, universally admired:

https://www.primelocation.com/for-sale/property/we...

Turns out the PH massive were right. Recently reduced by…£800k+ !!

Possibly because this just hit the market:

Which I hope you’ll be much happier with. I know I would be. Plenty of garden for a pool, which the first has.

Forget the fact that it's in Swindon. On a main road, it is quite lovely. Georgian/Victorian with an annexe.

Just down the road from the Old Town sex shop. No idea if it's still there, it's been a while since I briefly lived in Swindon.

It's a beautiful home though and an awful lot of bricks and mortar for the money.

It's an interesting spot, the front drive isn't as large as it appears in the photo. It's been sold a couple of times (or on the market) in the last few years. You'd have to want to be in town and on a mainish drag to live there, over the road along Westlecot Rd and Belmont Cres are often looked at as the "best" places in town to live.
It's a nice big house with well proportioned rooms mind.

The second one looks nice, however half the time you'd be looking at (and smelling) a muddy estuary they never show that on the photos.

ETA: probably not expensive enough to be considered 'pawn'.
