Plans needed for camera retrieval
Discussion
Sadly, no further interest for any party (four of them). Remarkable how much of a barrier 8-9 feet of water is.
I managed to find an identical camera in mint condition in eBay (and been back to the same spot and taken the photo I was trying to take when I lost the first one!) so the case is closed I think.

I didn't think it was ever going to be easy I take my hat off to those that tried to retrieve it though.
Might be worth investing a couple of quid in a camera strap - http://shop.ebay.co.uk/i.html?_nkw=camera+strap

This time I did use the little girlie wriststrap. But then I had the thought that if I dropped the camera, the strap would slip straigt off my wrist as well. So I tied it round my watchstrap as well. Then I thought that if I dropped the camera I would lose not only the camera and the strap, but the watch...
Damn risky this marine photography.
And here's what it was about - a snap that ended up costing over £220

I think you have to drop the new one in before the case is closed...I managed to find an identical camera in mint condition in eBay (and been back to the same spot and taken the photo I was trying to take when I lost the first one!) so the case is closed I think.
