Solid wood flooring, is it really this difficult?!

Read the other threads, he's told the Planning Officer that he's leaving it all open-plan and not putting a bathroom or a kitchen in. So that gap is for where the stud wall isn't going to go.
I'm more interested in the expansion gap that's been left?
He's only going to be doing gym training in that building, he won't be nipping to any toilet, or getting himself a drink, or washing his hands. Its purely going to be just a gym (though there might be a toilet shaped feature appear, and something that looks similar to the kitchen, but that won't be until after the planning officer has disappeared from the scene).I'm more interested in the expansion gap that's been left?
Nothing to see here Mrs Planning Orificer.

Plane the battens at an angle so the room gently slopes down towards the doorsAssume you can level the gym equipment with adjustable feet etc
Seriously - stop now - the sooner you stop, the less it will cost to put right. It's like you've left the house, turned left instead of right, but because you've been driving for 2 hours you won't turn around......
Whatever you do from here is just going to look like a poor bodge.

There is zero chance those guys have heard of a plane.

Ignore this OP, let them carry on and when they’ve finished the flooring, employ them to do more work for you, not forgetting to post up pics, obviously, this is epic stuff. Out of curiosity, are there any fitting instructions with the flooring, is this (unlikely) one of the recommended methods of fixing?Seriously - stop now - the sooner you stop, the less it will cost to put right. I think you're all taking our hero too seriously.

Clearly the answer is to raise the sliding doors. When the floor is finished, just get them to remove the sliding doors, then angle-grind an inch from the top of the aperture, pop a bit of plank underneath and reinstall the doors on top.
Would it not be easier to install the doors at an angle so they’d be at the correct floor level? Why are they lining the joints up like that? Is it because they need to meet the battens? What about the gap to the wall - surely you start at the wall and work out or the tongue won’t get into the groove?
I don’t understand why there is insulation underneath like that - the only thing I’ve seen similar was my log cabin aka a giant shed but the battens were on the slab and the insulation between them. Perhaps this is what they think they are doing (but wrong)

That floor needs to be re laid. Sorry. Before it gets too late (or spend you evening) lifting what you can. Done correctly it is not a big job, even on your own.
I'm enjoying this thread.
It's clear the OP has decided to let the job finish and come to it's natural conclusion, so lets all enjoy the ride and anticipate the updates!
He's been very gracious in providing pics along the way, despite the ridicule!
I say carry on, and keep us updated with every development.
I think the job will be good in the end!

From what I can see its screwed down so you might? be able to lift it? The uneven gaps on the second run will not help either? I am guessing you did not plan out the runs and room width?

I suppose he could lift all the walls up 2”Before it gets too late (or spend you evening) lifting what you can. Done correctly it is not a big job, even on your own.
