I was going to buy this house (pic below) in New Zealand. Now I discuss the details with one lawyer and real estate manager. I was going to hire few specialist from https://forensicmethservices.co.nz/ service for a testing on methamphetamine contamination. It's a standard procedure.

A negative P testing in a home is important to set a benchmark for preventing drug use and to protect your personal liability as a tenant and landlord.
Good luck getting a sample. Does the house cock a leg/drain pipe?

I had lunch here the other day. Good food, pricey, couldn't see it as a 'pop in for a pint' kinda local though.

According to the Wikipedia page:

''The Royalist MP for West Looe, who modified the first house in about 1642, kept four wives, one in each tower, each unknown to the others''.

So it has it's practical advantages, that place.

Have we had this?

https://www.primelocation.com/for-sale/details/470...

I'd be looking to extend the kitchen/breakfast wing into a full kitchen/diner/sitting room & do something about the wierd kitchen to pantry commute, but otherwise it'll do me, ta.

(Ok, it looks like there's an MOD firing range just up the road, but on the basis that it was a successful cottage rental & B&B, I've convinced myself they haven't got any money for bullets these days....). CF.

Liking this one, private road on the nice side of town.

If it had countryside views it'd be close to perfect.

A million pounds for a four bedroom house in a village in Malta, where the average salary is half that of the UK? And like many fancy houses in Malta, the stonework is nice but everything else is a bit 1970s. Far from the beach, not that beaches in Malta are any good. But looking on Rightmove, there are way more expensive similar houses there, wow.

This recent trend for Estate Agents to use HDR images is pretty disgusting isn't it. A real assault on the eyes.

I have watched this one being built over the last year. £3.25m in Berkshire between Maidenhead and Bracknell (that's not how they describe it!) 6 bedrooms, decent grounds, double garage but wow it's rather grey. Even the men's shirts strategically placed in the walk-in wardrobe are grey and white! Not sure I like the stone mansion style either myself... scratchchin

That seems half decent value to me - or am I mistaken?

It’s a nice pub. I use it as a venue to dump two children on the swings and go and grab a nice pint. But Bledington is a bit of an odd village with a lot of social housing just off the green and much of the way towards Kingham. While it’s closer to Kingham station than Kingham is they’ve never really succeeded in selling it as the next Kingham. And that building is bolted on to the side of the still working farm so it does seem like a lot of money to park yourself between a pair of smelly (st or cooking oil depending on the wind direction) and noisy commercial establishments.
