Congrats: the adventure really begins!
Now pack in with making me look bad on the home front and get the place messy for a few years!!

Congrats Harry, pleased for you both! Hope you’re enjoying the lack of sleep wink we are going through some trials on that front at the moment so nice to see a good result for someone. Can probably let the renovating take a back seat now for a bit anyway! Place looks awesome!

Now, while we are here I’m trying to sort my kitchen design for the extension out... I did ask before but have forgotten - what is the colour of your kitchen cabinets again?

Congratulations to you both on the birth of your daughter, it’s an unforgettable moment which will be followed by many more, enjoy her, childhood passes far too quickly.

Congratulations!

Get some framed photos of how the house looks now as it won’t be long before the new character in the house will be adding ‘character’ all of their own, crayons on the wall, Playdoh in the floorboard cracks, etc.

They’re just signs of a happy home biggrin

Enjoy it.

Greatest thing that'll ever happen to you. Prepare to spend a lot more time on your own in the evenings.
Good lighting is often overlooked and very important but hopefully there's still better to come for the Flashman

Congratulations Harry F. Such great news that you now have the family you have long awaited. Take your mind off matters property and enjoy the early years whilst you can. I remember them well and miss them often. My little one is now 25 and we are expecting her back from Australia next month. She has been away working in musical theatre for almost a year and it has been quite a trawl for me. Thank goodness for t'internet! Your daughter's world will be far different from yours and your perspective will now change. Take a rest from the house and just enjoy being a dad.

Congrats on the new arrival - you’ll find her a lot higher maintenance than any cars!!!!!

Congrats!

You'll soon be glad you cracked on and got as much done as you have. Once you've adjusted to the frustration of never getting anything done, you'll be fine. Kids are cool.

Just don't have another if you have plans to get the house finished.....

I would look at IFTTT for your lights, I'm sure they'll be compatible. You'll need that anyway in a few months to coordinate the hue lights with your Christmas lights.

Thanks chaps!

Baby is being a real pain and refusing to sleep and wanting to feed constantly - luckily she is damned cute, else I would be asking for a refund. As Lady F is on that duty right now, I have just slapped another coat of tanking slurry in the leaking basement and now am updating the thread. Here is a DIY repaint of the utility room. That was a lengthy and not fun job...

Oh dear. Sounds like our first born. Little fker nearly ended me with his refusal to sleep. I could tell some stories, he was 5 years old before he slept through a night. I don't think I've recovered, nearly 14 years after his birth.

All worth it though, he's a cracking lad now.

Congrats, Harry, and good luck.

I like the colour of the utility room units, you really have the kind of eye for décor and detail which I can only dream of having. Your home is looking beautiful.
