The arrows are greyed out, if i 'hack' the date in the URL it just says no data. It did work a week ago, but only 3 days worth. I'll email them.
I'll drop you a PM, might be good to have a look, thanks.
Whats with the negative pricing too? You supplying back to the grid?
Java code sent... have fun!I'll drop you a PM, might be good to have a look, thanks.

The negative pricing: Simply, on Agile, there are times when your consumption is 'charged' at a negative rate. i.e if you used a 3kW immersion heater for an hour when the rate was -2p/kWh, you would get 'charged' -6p for that power ... 6p is knocked off your bill.
These events are rare, but do happen. A few weeks ago, we managed to get a negative pricing day.... I think our normal rate would have charged us about £5, where as we actually 'paid' -10p for the whole day. It was a bit false as we ran loads to use power at the maximum negative rate deliberately to run the bill down... this raised our 'would have been' price.
The reality is our bills are running at less than half what they were on fixed rates.
However, do the maths as it will vary depending on you usage profile.

It's hard enough getting the OH to do the washing, let along at a specific time!
Sounds like a fun game though. Paired with a set of smart plugs you could easily save pennies a day, obviously before the cost of the smart plugs that retail at £200

It maybe doesn't add up for savings whith the cost of the smart plugs/switches, but it needn't be big money. I think out immersion heater switch was only £10-15.It's hard enough getting the OH to do the washing, let along at a specific time!

Without all that, just using the Agile tariff we would still be having abill of about half.
The reason in this case is we have a constant load day and night running some IT kit, this at the cheaper rate offsets massively the more expensive rate around tea-time.
The timed switching is really just a bit of a game to me... It is a good feeling to 'win' free hot water!

I was having a similar conversation with a mate last week, i'm in the process of migrating to the Agile contract (from Bulb). I currently charge my XC90 via the standard 3 pin cable. It takes 6hrs but it's working ok. My plan was to just plug it into a smart plug and de-activate the plug via the software between 4pm - 7pm. The other option is a cable from Octopus that does it all for me but at a cost of £200!!

£200 is pretty cheap for a mains<>Type 2 cable reallyMy plan was to just plug it into a smart plug and de-activate the plug via the software between 4pm - 7pm. The other option is a cable from Octopus that does it all for me but at a cost of £200!!
Be careful with the smart plug which may not be happy running ~10A for 6 hours at a time!
Doesn't the XC90 have charge scheduling?

I may as a short term / interim step just setup the charging via the app on the car.

Our usage pattern from yesterday... looks like we took advantage of the lowest rate for the washing machine around 03:00 and the dishwasher probably went on at 15:00 on that day.
So our 'graph' went live yesterday (and our Agile contract starts tomorrow):You can clearly see that the wife and kids were out for the morning

Does anyone have experience of running Octopus Agile with and ASHP (air source heat pump) and 4kw solar pv?
I think Octopus Go May be better suited to ASHP despite being designed for EV charging but can’t find anyone who’s using it.
Here is our graph of cost over the last 24 hours....I think Octopus Go May be better suited to ASHP despite being designed for EV charging but can’t find anyone who’s using it.
So, I would say that Agile beats Go. The only issue is heavy loads around the 17:00-19:00 time... it would probably average out lower anyway, but if you are really keen, kill the heating load for those few hours.

Only for that 1 day. As I've pointed out a few times, power prices are super cheap right now. Winter, next year, next month etc could look very different! Condi said:

Absolutely.... but if it gets too much, you can change to a fixed rate, or Go within 24 hours.Octopus publish there entire Agile pricing table from the last couple of years. I have it, and used it when making our switch estimates.
As you say, past performance is no guarantee of future performance!
