I'm probably very alone in this, but while I do think it's cracking, it leaves me cold when I consider it in terms of it being my place.

Most of these large pile types make me feel that way.
Me too. Way too big. If winning the lottery means having to deal with hordes of domestic staff and gardeners then count me out.

We have a cleaner ATM, and that's enough.

And what do you want 125 acres for?

Well the agri land can be let out to someone to work or you could rewild it but looks like a good chunk of its woodland which is being managed too. I'd love that amount of land to walk a dog around on my doorstep without bumping into anyone else. Sit on a tree stump and contemplate life and wonder where it all went wrong biggrin

No, you're not. I'd rather have the priory from the other day. The scale of some of these is overwhelming.

The priory posted the other day was 50% larger than the Cotswold house though it was 15,000 sq ft.

All sorts of ancillary space that makes up the total, but as I posted at the time, the rooms are on a human scale.

Yup. I want something small and cosy with individuality. I'm willing to pay more for a view and a decent garage. Hard to find those two things together, I'm finding...

No the main house is 15k the rest is additional sq footage, it's massive you must be a big guy!

They are both lovely but one is much smaller than the other.

I'm completely wrong about that. Thanks for the correction of my error.

Despite the fact that the Priory is significantly larger in terms of its overall square footage, I prefer it because despite it being larger the room sizes we see make it feel a rather more human scale than the Bath house. So much so that my memory was deceived by it.

Record now put straight, I hope?

You don’t, you want ten or fifteen times that to pay for it.

It's like a really odd mix of Art Deco, and Renaissance/Art Nouveau .....

Yep, it was on a few weeks ago and I popped up some information on its former uses (it's just down the road from me)

Same for me. I found my unicorn in my house abroad (3 bed house with 6 car garage) but yet to find the same in the U.K.

Incredible plot, astounding price, charming house, doubtless to be soon replaced by some vast monstrosity.

From the listing - "Best Plot In The United Kingdom"

That's a VERY bold claim.
