Yes, I was. Obviously the gas usage went up during the very cold weather but I've been reading the meter since the last bill and the usage is way down now so unless it gets very cold again it's going to stay low.
I’ve had that before, their system didn’t seem to take account of the government support. A polite but firm email to them got it sorted.

As an aside I got the alternative fuel payment through today as we have no gas here and most use oil or a wood burner (like myself) as running the electric heating much would bankrupt us.

Regular emails from Bulb now stating I have not been in touch to book an engineer to fit new smart meters...

We sent you an email about booking a meter replacement, but we haven’t heard from you yet. Your meter has come to the end of its working life and needs to be replaced.

We have engineers available in your area, so you can book your installation at a time that suits you:
Book your free installation
✅ We exchange your meters to make sure they are safe and accurate
We do this free of charge when they are past their certification date. This is part of the Electric Act legislation.

Have a nice day,
Team Bulb

Been getting them as well. Ignored them. On Mother in Laws house, the gas meter is too far away from wherever to get a reading, so just electric is read. She got a bill for £800 for January, lives alone and thrifty. They’re not getting £800.

Had mine fitted last week, only took a couple of hours. My bulb account is now a right mess as they're constantly taking readings, can't work it all out now?

Had my £200 credit go in this month for alternative fuel (electricity only here) which is nice.
I posted about this at the beginning of the year and received mine on the 14th as did my neighbour. All electric here too smile

Time for a title change? Octopus Energy (formerly Bulb) as I'd have thought most have moved over now?

I've been in the queue for a bulb one for 6 months or so now, they're still installing them, demand just ramped up when the crisis hit I think.

Hopefully Octopus will carry the queue over and not make me go to the back of the line again.

Still with Bulb here too, but my neighbour was switched to Octopus last week. So they're obviously not switching by region.

People have had an email.

I haven't had one yet either.

Not got the app, but have just signed into my account on the web as normal and all the same as usual.
