I asked this question a year or two back and was recommended the Gigaset. I went and bought one, it was around £90. It's a lovely looking ornament, who uses landlines :-S !! Still, recommended.
We still use a landline, anyway, I'd be happy to take it off your hands.biggrin Let me know how much you want for it. Are there any other handsets or just the one, we have 4 at the moment which is OK....just.
The mobile signal round here is rubbish.frown
I do need to keep it! May get used once a fortnight and its handy having the answer phone.. I like the look of it, too. :-D

Maybe go and handle both makes to decide. Sometimes a handset can look great in a photo but feel plasticky when picked up, or wrongly balanced.

Quad Panasonic here, replacing Binatones which were OK but range was limited. I bought the Panasonics off the back of a Which? report and they have proved to be very good. Lots of features - the multiway call (you can have as many handsets on the same call as you want just by picking up) has been handy, especially if you want to hand a call off to someone else. For the moment it seems Panansonic have it. We get a realistic range of about 100m including through walls.
