No doubt genuine, but amusing to compare their enthusiasm for foolproofness (eg cutting the cake, 'sealing' the machine with tape) with the fact that the video has so many edits in it that anything could have happened... an entire herd of wildebeest could have gone through and you'd never know! Not that you would, but avoid anything made by Hoover. We got their cheap crap Candy appliances free with a kitchen for a house we rent out and they've been woeful. The dishwasher actually broke before it was used, but because the house stood empty for a time it was out of warranty! The idiot who came to fix it then scratched the floor pulling it out, leading to a three month wild goose chase with their 'claims' department. It's broken again since, as has the washing machine. The only thing that has worked without incident is the fridge.

Just to add..
Their drawing office was full of Dyson cleaners and Miele washing machines, when asked why , I was told it was because they were the best products in the market that they wanted to match.

Miele cat and dog or Henry is where it's at.
If I was in OP situation and had that choice of brands I'd go with the one I liked the look of best.
Virtually everything in our kitchen is Bosch.
Buy right and they're not much more expensive than the likes of Zanussi, Hotpoint, etc. Very rarely have they failed and then it's usually down to our own incompetence. Our oven and fancy built in microwave are now on over ten years service and haven't let us down yet.
We normally buy our electrical stuff from the same local retailer who knows us and is trusted and even he says to stay away from the likes of AEG, Hoover and the rest. Quality and reliability has gone downhill since they moved production.
