Composite Doors - HELP!

Yeh i'd go look at another provider. I know down south is meant to be a bit more expensive but that's a rip off IMO

My brother recently had a sales rep from one of the big national double glazing companies round to quote for a composite door, starting price was £3800, ended up at £1300!

We are going through the same joyful process of getting quotes for two Solidor fitted

To potentially help we are looking at

Flint Beeston in Anthracite grey / White

Flint 1 in French Grey / White with a size window (440 x 1170mm)

Both with Ultion cylinders and chrome fittings

Best price fully fitted incl VAT = 2.6k and this is in Bracknell

Just had a quote from another semi-local Solidor dealer - £2785.00 (other dealer was £2667.00) so not much in it.

After a bit of research, also found a similar door made by Garador as well but priced that up on Garagedoorsonline.com (they seem to be mentioned a lot for very good service & prices if you don't mind organzing fitting it yourself), that was around £2500.00 delivered!!!!

I think I've been out of touch but it seems they REALLY are this much for a decent front door..

Happy with my Solidor, think it is a Ludlow. Blue on the outside and Ultion lock. £800 fitted in the North West.

We paid £800 for a solidor Flint 3 in dark brown with monkey tail handles

Fitter charged us £100 or so to fit but he was doing some R9 Windows as the same time

We are NW based to.

Some of the quotes people have had are extortionate!!
