Late 60's detached house renovation
Discussion
Hi folks, thanks for the comments, its certainly a bathroom of its time,
We are splitting it into two (its the original bathroom and an extension, made into one huge bathroom) so we can create an en-suite and dressing room. Stud partions are up..[url]
bathroom, now split into two:

Bedroom, was 21ft long, now split into two - Ours will be the back part with the window replaced with tilt.turn patio doors, overlooking the garden

The garden: The boundary is at the back of the woods, so the plan is to have a woodburner fitted, and then chop a few down to open it up a bit:

House hunting at the moment and this popped up, outside shot looks promising. I have neither the skills or energy to anything with it however. It doesn't even have doors out to the garden!

Ahhh, pish stained carpet in the bathroom. Same as when I bought my house, owned by an old man for 20 years beforehand.
Ripped it up, left the bare boards (which actually looked quite cool).
Then the original steel WC cistern spring a leak. I had a council "block of blue melty stuff" in there at the time to increase the ambience of skintness. It came through the kitchen ceiling one night, flooding the kitchen with blue, sterile water.
It got me so annoyed that I ripped up the lino and threw it out the back to burn it - only to reveal another 3 layers of worn-out lino of various ages.
The last layer only got torn out a couple of years ago - a fantastic paisley green and purple masterpiece. I have a little bit framed, and it looks great!
