The quote on our sandstone patio (that we're going ahead with) mentioned "Point Fix jointing compound".....is that any good or should I be asking for an alternative?

If it's the brush in type stuff then I hate to say this but this year I'll be digging up loose bits of this again. It's been down 2 years and I reckon I will have had to redo around 10% of it. The amount of 'sand' that appears every time I pressure wash the patio (with circular attachment) shows how much is wearing away each time

2 years on ours is still perfect. We used Joint It.

Unless they are sided and have been laid upside down, how could they be wrong? Serious question.

I think the orientation of the long wide slabs down the narrow side does not match their orientation in the large area.

For me it would make the “teeth itch thread”

Poorly laid cheap B&Q imported foreign sandstone around a lovely house which must be in or near The Lake district somewhere looking at the style. Anyone with taste would have used a locally sourced product, all it needs is '39' painting on one of the stones by the door and a sign declaring it to be 'Dunroamin' or something.

Ain't ever post images of my garden patio job, there would not be enough pages limit to highlight the mistakes!

course with building work you could have or may have done things this way or the 'right' way but as long as it serves it purpose well enough and looks clean its done and nothing last forever just like ourselves.
