My favourite pub around those parts is The Cat Inn at Enville. Proper beer and a roaring open fire!
Any plans for the rock house?

The Cat is a great pub, good choice!

The eventual plan is to install a shepherds hut at the bottom of the garden with a Norwegian wood fired hot tub and use the rock caves as a USP to market the shepherds hut via Airbnb.

Details for the costings and yields of the above can be found here;
https://whitepeakshepherdhuts.uk/2018/01/29/how-mu...

Details for the hot tubs can be found here:

https://www.kirami.fi/en/hot-tubs/original/origina...

Plan is maybe for us to have one of the wood fired tubs installed at the top cave (above the cliff). Figured it would be a nice place to sit and have a few drinks and take in the view…

Bonus of the wood fired affair is that it can be chemical free, drained into the land and closed down when not in use. I can fill
it from a hose in the morning, light a few logs and hop in around tea time/early eve…

I have raised the possibility with the o/h of a death slide back into the garden for rapid access when beers run out… she is not keen rofl

A pulley system for bringing up food and beer might be OK.
Just overengineer it enough so it can carry a person!

Wasn’t there a thread around these parts some years ago? A guy had one in his garden that a fellow forum member helped recommission?

I remember the thread. It was a 50m 60° slope or something like that and he ended up with a platform that stayed level that ran on rails up the hill powered by an electric motor.

It is amazing what you can do with the right tools. From something that looks inaccessible to a HOUSE! Sounds like you've really though through your ROI on this one smile

The brick colour looks really nice.

Incredible - and some superb work there with awesome kit.

I made my acquaintance with a brush cutter a fortnight ago, unfortunately don't have anything I could use a flail mower on...

Please keep the updates coming!

Not sure what the rules are but I'm sure there are some restrictions on what work can be carried out within the curtilage of a listed building.

Might be worth checking before you make any further changes.
