Wheelie bins, which way round?
Discussion
Up against a fence and handle facing outwards.
Easier to manoeuvre it on to the road rather than trying to pull it out without a handle then get between the fence and push it out when it gets heavy, which it normally is.
Forget bin night, we just have sweepstakes to see whose bin is left furthest away from their house in our cul-de-sac once the bin men have been.

Handle to the wall.
We normally celebrate bin night sat out on the pavement by the bin with a few drinks whilst waiting for a takeaway to be delivered. It’s the highlight of our week. How do you all celebrate bin night?
You jest but I genuinely just stand next to the bin this time of year chilling looking out across the view for a few minutes. Helps that it's nice to look at mind! Ref handle towards bin men, I expect for the people that leave it the wrong way (handle facing house not road) it would depend on if you are a pusher or a puller of the bin, which is much more controversial!
If you leave them handle facing out then the bin person (a lady is in the team that does ours) has to spin it around to present it to the lorry’s lift.wolfracesonic said:

Do you let them out of the pen for a run occasionally, makes me sad to see them couped up all the time! The sooner we put an end to battery farming bins the better!Zetec-S said:

I have a dedicated, 1 acre field just for the wheelie bins, each with their own hard standing. They are open from all sides, so no way round.
Just the one acre for all your bins? Do you even belong here? Gassing Station | Homes, Gardens and DIY | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
