I live in an EOT house, at the side of the house is an open narrow stretch of grass which is on my plot, but has no fence (New build type house).

The house three doors down was recently sold to a housing association with associated scum now moved in. Boy, girl, three kids under 10 all on dole.

Today the kids are outside kicking their ball against wall, car, and window. I go out and ask kids nicely not to, and they tell me to fk of (6-7 yr olds) So I knock on the parents door and ask nicely to stop the kids from kicking the ball against my house and car, parents then tell kids not to. Five minutes later, ball is being kicked against car door windows, I go out again, speak to parents nicely but this time get attitude from the wife, so I tell the husband to reign in his wife and kids or I will "put his head through the fking wall" at which point he loses his bottle. So far alls well and no more noise, but I dont expect it to last. Apparently they are going to get the family or someone round to sort me out.

You just cannot achieve anything by being nice these days, voilance and bad language is all these scumbags understand.
Serves you right for living in a st area
You can't do much if the council donate one of the normal houses to them. But there is truth in your comment.

Sounds like you approached the situation looking for a confrontation.
When you responded by threatening physical violence when his missus was lippy you lost the moral high ground.
Were you scared of her?

You've gone from having a situation you might have resolved given a bit of time and patience, to one you've completely backed yourself into a corner over.

I understand they may be ignorant twunts, but so are 90% of the strangers I encounter day to day. I don't have time to fall out with all of them, less still if they live next door.

Similar happening here. Kids jumped on my car to get over fence to get ball when i was out. Came home last night, found fence broke and kids running off. Followed em, one crying his eyes out, he obviously fell when fence broke. They denied it, rang police, someone's on their way... Still not here 18 hours later.

Police won't bother - had two groups of twenty or so kids attack the Exige one Friday night around 7 in the evening - drunk on white cider and out to cause damage - why FFS? Anyway, phoned non-emergency number and was told I'd be contacted in 24hrs - a fat lot of good that was, and I never got a call. I have since moved.

I know the OP went into this looking for a confrontation, and I understand his frustration, but this seems the only language such people understand. Doing nothing makes you an easy target, playing friendly neighbour simply doesn't work. The irony is that our taxes are raising these scum, providing them a life of Riley as they damage property and ruin lives. rolleyes

ETA: I've also experienced the wrath of the chavvy six year old - caught two of them trying to key my car, and on another night chucked rubbish at my house. Unbelievable.

It's tiresome. Workhouses and chav-fuelled powerstations.

PS

At the bottom of the parents' bed, under the duvet, facing towards the headboard.

We had a similar family of scutters whose garden backed on to ours, and the kids were forever kicking the ball against the panel fence, making a right old noise, and damaging it. Invariably, plenty of balls came over the fence, landing in the pond, on the rabbit hutch, on the car etc.

I made a small cut every single one before lobbing it back over the fence, and took great amusement at hearing the kid whinging that his balls don't bounce any more. The parents stopped buying new balls for him eventually.

Result.

A few months later the parents were both done for benefit and insurance fraud, husband got 8 months, wife and kids rehomed in a sink estate.

Double result.

The guy who has now bought the house outright has just bought an Elise.

Triple result.
bow you are my new role model! Excellent!!

After an afternoons drinking some of the local "lads" from up the end of the road, decided to run along the bonnets roofs and boots of a line of parked cars including my own. One of them fell and lost his nike wicked trainer... I called the polis as did about five other neighbours and I went out to have a few words, and get a better description.

Police arrived in about ten minutes, took descriptions and headed off to look for them.

Three months later, the yoof in question got three months for criminal damages and resisting arrest. (I know he had some previous as well)

Good work by the police.

It appears that some think I went looking for confrontation. But as I said originally I did ask nicely if they could get the kids to stop. I had asked on two previous ocassions during the week, again nicely only to be ignored. How many times should I let their ball hit my windows or my car? how many times should I politely ask, only to be ignored? Three warnings and then a bking is not out of order.
It is the attitude of "oh be nice" "try reason" etc that allows these situations to get out of hand. These type of scum need jumping on from the off.

You have my deepest condolences.

The sound of ball being repeatedly kicked against other people's property on a sunny afternoon is HIGHLY fking annoying at the best of times.

We have the same problem - but we live next to a Police family rolleyes... theres a big patch of nice green grass 50 meters away, but oh no... thats not as much fun as kicking against the fence/car/window/dog/brother/shed/garage door furious

...and the icing on the cake: fk-wit PC Father plays football with them in the middle of the busy fking road!!

I can sympathise as i too suffer this for years. This type of scum don't respond to people being nice as they will walk all over you.I tried to be nice/polite and they see it as a weakness, the answer is to fight fire with fire and be nasty .........and mean it!!

Btw, i moved to a better area!

Just to finish off the story. Got a letter yesterday saying the police had chased this up have closed the case.

Nobody came round to my house or spoke to me since I reported it.....

Does it say why? If not, call them and ask? (Assuming your blood pressure can take it).

report them to the housing association. if it's a new build i can guarantee the queue to get one is massive and the council in my area are careful about putting scum in decent council housing.

the thought of getting removed from their nice new house to a scummy area might make them think twice about how they are behaving.
