Sneak down on the 23 hour ferry to Santander/Bilbao.
Definitely my preference for Southern France. Benefit of living darn Sarf. Single overnight with a bar and you can be in the Pyrenees within a few hours. Still, we have Scotland on our doorstep and the Southerners have the M25 tongue out
I'm in the sticks outside York so usually go Hull - Rotterdam. The ferry is worth it for the ste live entertainment alone. Hilarious.

Then we nail Stuttgart (Porsche/Mercedes museums) or Munich (cracking night out), have a late morning the next day then into Switzerland or Austria and away we go. The Santander ferry is perfect for the Pyrenees though.

Aye, done the Hull ferry a few times, both walk on and with the car. I love it tbh, great thing to have up here for Spa, North Germany, the Nordic countries etc.

Always a pleasure coming back home after a fantastic trip to be welcomed with a sight of Hull prison and the A63 backed up with traffic laugh
I do wonder what visitors must think coming here. Capital of Culture, cameras at the ready laugh
The exact topic of conversation on the radios as we drive off the ferry plus 'Why on Earth do the Europeans come to the UK' and 'oh my God, 70 on the M62 is sooooo slow' as the day before we were on derestricted autobahns rarely falling below 100.

Sold the Speciale after Ferrari made me an offer I couldn't refuse. Sat pondering what I fancy now. Never drove it so it wasn't hard to let it go.

Nothing new appeals to me.

Not sure I can be bothered with another classic.

The cash might sit in the bank until me and the Mrs get chance to go on a world tour in one of these. It’s my youngest lad’s 18th today and the other one is 21 soon. Reckon we might feck off in 2020 as I’ll be 50 then.

That looks pretty heavy duty..
People tour for years in them going to remote parts of the world.

Plenty of video diaries on YouTube under ‘expidition trucks’.

I’ve been fancying an extended trip (1, 2 maybe 3 year trip) for years but family responsibilities (parents and kids) have blocked it. Not for much longer although my wife isn’t completely on board yet.
