Getting bit tense now. He's either hammered after celebratory drinks or in A&E.

Don't know what all the fuss was about cool

We towed it behind the Landy down the drive

Pushed it along planks to the top of the stairs and then used the Landy to lower it down on planks

Then pushed it along planks the length of the garden

Next to its final resting place, now time for the hard bit

Rocked it side to side, placing a block under it each time

Then once at the same level as the base, shuffled it along onto its base

Easy tongue out

lets not mention the fact it took 4 hours, and broke 6 men to the point of giving up, and exploded 3 fingertips boxedin

Whilst I'm pleased for you that it's now in place, the block work it's sat on looks less than ideal, there isn't much bond on them.

What an anti climax, you could have at least had one of the breeze blocks tumble over and explode in a fireball!

Hope you guys are OK though, and proper job sorting this without all sorts of ridiculous cranes and stuff

(you should have take a clue from the egyptians and put rollers between the oven and the planks though...)

Well. That all looked very slick, Didnt think 700kg would slide so politely.

Disappointing lack of block and tackle, pneumatic jacks, levers, pulleys, cart horses, rollers, slaves and whips....

Op delivers! Fair play for getting it done. Now have a stab at making some pizzas. I have oven envy, might have to treat myself to one in spring, got the Uuni to keep me busy till then.

Well done!

(My idea that I never got around to typing was to drag it to the top of the slope, hammer frozen sausages into the slope below it, let whatever happens to frozen sausages happen to frozen sausages, oven would slide down 2 inches. Repeat. Repeat. This might take a while though!)

Congrats, and hope the finger tip less guys have pizza for life!
