We don't often see properties for sale in Alford for £9.5M

I think I know that property. The current owner has one hell of a car collection.
Very cool; at a quick glance you're buying that house, a hotel, sporting right, farming, a pub, and 12 other houses.

River Don's having a hard time, sadly - no fish may be taken (Category 3 Conservation) in 2018.

Not sure this fits the pawn bill, but loved the quirkiness of this one:

2 beds for £5m is a little punchy though!
Laughable.

2.5-3m absolute tops, no way it sells for anything like £5m.

Looks like it, though in 2011 you probably would have said, 'Didn't it sell for £120k in 1995?'

Apropos of that, anyone got views on where, if anywhere, the undervalued areas are (ex London)?

Thamesmead. Can’t fall much lower and eventually they’ll run out of knives to stab each other with and an artisan butt plug shop will be opened by an intolerant lumberjack, his partner will open a car stroking cafe and prices will rocket as all the stabby, poor people are barrowed out to Croydon or the next hole.

surely every is valued at its current worth. Do you mean places which are going to get more in demand in future?

Cart track is cool, kitchen is ok the rest, meh. Its a big, well appointed house but completely lacks any sort of character or style.

Agree. Nothing to commend it but the track and garage. Soulless.

It all seems a bit travellodgey as if they were to do an exclusive, boutique country hotel but keep the whole style of their normal hotels.

If I had a go-kart track in the back garden I'd need on-site medical facilities!
