Great stuff!

An excellent thread that I really enjoyed.

If ever there’s a belated christening party count me and Mrs TY4C in if available.

Looking forward to any further updates and congratulations on your new boat.

By the same logic, I have a boat because I can't swim. It stops me from drowning when I go up the river spin

Happy birthday Francesca.
It was a challenge doing the pool for you in the time scale but also great fun.
I’m on with my latest challenge in renovating my own house now.
Not 3 weeks but 10 months.
Looks like quite the project, have fun it will be worth it!

Congrats on 5 years of pool fun Julian

Hello!

Well, her Birthday went down brilliantly - thanks so mush for the birthday best wishes for her!

She spent the morning at the beach swimming in the sea...

In the afternoon she took me and my wallet shopping...

And in the evening we went out for a lovely dinner...

Before coming back to the boat and rocking it until the early hours! Fortunately I only have vids and no pics of this - and I have no idea how to post them!

What a great way to spend the summer! She’s lucky to have a dad like you.

As I mentioned earlier in the thread, we started digging in early March. On the home stretch now.
I’ll do a thread one day but seeing as this pool is all Julian’s fault anyway a photo here won’t hurt.

If you’re wondering why it’s Julian’s fault, it’s because I broke my garden fork and I couldn’t think of anything to do with it other than display it by my pool just like he did with Forky, and as I didn’t have a pool I had to build one.

A very happy Birthday to the beautiful Francesca. From small fish Mermaids grow. Or something. Have a fantastic day.

Look forward to the next annual catch up.

Yes I said annual you filthy lot.
I realise my mistake at our last annual get together now.

At least it explains why you said you couldn't fit me in again...

I was going to thanks you all individually for your messages, but it would take too long at this time of night and we are always busy in the day - so just a great big thank you to one and all from Chess and me!!!

Thank you!

Your pool will be stunning in that spot and you have done the one thing I would have done had I more time - a concrete shell.

I have to take my hat off to you big time for the Forky based man maths (I read your eariler post), I would have done exactly the same! biglaugh

Cheers and let's make it a new PH tradition, break a garden fork and you HAVE to build a swimming pool! - it's the law rofl

And the boat, tell us more!
Well....

Covid happened and I got bored...

I tried a car, obviously, but Ferrari's just make me look like a bit of a dhead!

Then watching markets fall with Covid I put my thinking hat on and built an investment portfolio of badly hit compaies that were otherwise absolutely sound. It was called PH Recovery and quite a number of PHers invested in it alongside me. I put in quite a bit and did well (as did everone else).

Sooooo, I bought a cheeky Sunseeker!

I don't know if I should do another one mate. The biggest regret of everyone last time was that they didn't get in or they didn't put everything in - that is quite some responsibility if we do it again!

On another sidenote, if any GT fans fancy meeting up in the Algarve next July for some car and boat fun, I've organised a little something...
