Indeed. A lot of the usual PH rubbish.
The one shown hasn't sold and will go way higher than £1000 and as for free on collection...........Dream on.
Only reporting something I remember seeing here. Take it up with the posters:The one shown hasn't sold and will go way higher than £1000 and as for free on collection...........Dream on.

Thanks for the link and i don't want to shoot the messenger but nowhere on there is there any reference to people picking up sub zero fridges for pennies.http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=1&a...
They are high level fridges and they simply do not sell if working for pennies, nor are they given away free on collection.
There is no evidence of that at all.
Thanks

I would, relatively speaking, regard that as 'pennies'.

If you've got a couple of quid and like a bit of space, then you might like this.

I know labour and raw materials were cheap back in those days and that these houses were precursors to today's mixed use developments (residential, office and commercial in one) but it's still staggering that people built them so big and so grand. Even back then the running costs must have been eye watering! House needs work but due to the land and location this is pure prawn to me. Sadly, I'm a mill or so short.

Holy fk. That is incredible!!
Widest frontage of any house in the country I believe.Used to be leased by Sheffield Polytechnic and a base for their Sports Studies courses among others.
had halls of residences, sports hall and a swimming pool in the grounds.
Used to play hockey on the grass pitches which were located about where that photo was taken from. Went for post match drinks in the biggest bar/dining hall I have ever seen.
Opposing teams were quite impressed :-)

Yet completely fked 250,000 sq ft thanks to Labour and Manny Shinwell. He had an envy grudge against the people living there, so dug 6/7 deep mines right up to the door step of the great house and as such the subsidence in the house is unbelievable.
The family have since won the suing of the coal authority and the appeal and the final date on the proceedings is 2016 for £100 million in compensation.
However that does not help the house at the moment.
All thanks to a fking idiot with the whole contents of the mccain's factories on his shoulder.
