As a child I lived across the street and swore I'd own this place one day. The stars came into align a couple of years ago and despite not really being in a great position to move we did it anyway.

I knew that was Glasgow as soon as I saw it. It's lovely.

Though I think you should improve that garage if possible, perhaps proving your PH credentials by knocking it down and building a detached triple.
I'd like to think that my PH credentials were beyond reproach however I do have to agree with your comments regarding the garage. I very much bought the house despite the garage rather than because of it. Coming from a new build which had a surprisingly good integral double it's not been easy having to make do with a one and a half. I wish there was more scope to improve it but I fear I may have to be more inventive as free space is not on my side.

I have the same on the other side of the house so may end up doing something over there.

Thank you for the positive comments BTW.

IanA2 - East end I'm afraid but I agree it has the look of a south side gaff.

Salisbury Plain.
A little daunted by the gardens, which are immaculate (with the current 12hr/wk gardener, who we will not be able to keep on for that amount of time). Orchard and tennis court.

It is my dream house, 4000sqft, cellar, double garage and a single garage. Walled all around.

I am gloating, sorry.

It was originally (1800) thatched. And amazingly escaped listing.
Was the Manor Farmhouse, then the Manor house burnt down, so it became the Manor.

Are you happy with the result. Judging from the pic I prefer the older look but I am old fashioned in my tastes.
