Nice one, cheers for that. Mine has a three-pin connection labelled A, B, C. Of the Worcester boilers listed (Mine is a Greenstar 30CDi, which isn't listed) all of the ones that it lets me see instructions for have the connection block labelled 24v. Looking at the components on the device they don't look up to 240v, but I'm not an expert on that.

Any chance of a pic of the inside of your box too so I can see the components?

I suspect it's going back for a different box.

Cool, thanks again. I don't have any of those big bits on the board apart from the 5v battery/capacitor. Definitely needs to go back. Ta

Would there be an easy way to combine the Nest/Skylarkios and the EvoHome systems together? Giving total control of zoned areas in the house, including hot water, and also allowing it to know when you are not at home?

Just looking at these systems now, and a combination of both would be marvellous.

Is anyone else's Tado Gateway box very noisy?

Our's makes an annoying high pitched alternating sound, it's driving me crazy!

Yes mine squeeked at first but I don't think kit does it anymore as those sort of noises annoy me! How long has it been in?

Some codecs can hacked - certainly its possible to hybrid a lightwave setup with next using a few relays. If lightwave can get their app to work reliably, you can use it to control the hot water cycle. Alternatively, I think someone produced a google plugin so that you can actually use google calendar to setup trigger points...

I'm going to one of these thermostats myself and setting the main stat in the larger living space. Bedroom rads will have stats that close during the day and open night. Another slave stat in the master bed will control temps in all the bedrooms.

Don't put the stat in the hallway - it's the most wasteful way of fitting a stat.

It's amazing this wasn't in there from the start.

What did it do before, just heat water all the time!?

Yes, but only when someone was in the house, as is the Tado's wont.

Having tried many wifi thermostats including Heatmiser brand i can only say, TADO wins hands down, just works (a bit like apple stuff).

Cripes, it's amazing that they thought that was adequate.

Laying in bed from midnight to 6am, hot water, burn fuel!

Maybe they are used to systems that heat when hot water is needed, tankless systems.

What I really want on my tado is the ability to have different temp settings by time of day (that would be activated when a user is at home).

Its better now but it only use to heat when in "day mode" and you were home, so not overnight.

Not quite, at night hours set by the user - mine is 11pm to 7am - the system is not active (unless temp drops below a level also set by the user).
