Not really a nightmare cos it's cheap enough. Check out the wood paneling.

For the area, they love round there. it'll be clad with a box on the back before you can blink.

I've been trying to work out if that's a fire escape, though your shrubbery.

Yes, I know. I know where the house is. The thing in the back garden to which you referred, and which is visible in the photos is a fence.

Note that I added a wink

That could be quite special.

If it wasn't in Staffordshire...

Yeah, with that pitiful level of light output I'd guess they're LED's. On the other hand all those twinklies above makes it a bit like those starlight/constellation roof liners in Rolls Royces....

Nice area that, probably hear the trains on the Churnet Valley as well.
Need a lottery win to do it justice though. frown

Well , according to the blurb, it's a 'poplar' area.

Appologies if this has already been posted at some point.

Sqaure house, triangle rooms and stairs everywhere...and one to many roofs! Only £5000 pcm rent.

https://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-to-rent/prope...

Showing as sold here: https://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/prop... I assume it could only be sold to knock down and build a mega Cheshire mansion...
That’s giving me a headache! Its as if Dali did houses
I think the builder must have just bought a new mitre saw...

There's a 'study room' which is less than 6' x 3'. It's a cupboard, FFS!

This house has been a notorious wreck, alongside its 6 fairly immaculate neighbours, for years. They've only just cut down all the overgrown trees that previously made it nearly invisible from the road.

835K seems a bit steep when you're going to need to spend 100Ks on it to make it habitable, and you can get one of the nice ones today for 1.15M !

I was thinking that almost £300k to spend on a refurb would appeal to me, to get something bespoke. I spent less than that on my Victorian house.

Then I noticed that this thing is Grade II listed.

It should be on for a fraction of that price, as refurbishing it will be a deep pocket nightmare, dealing with awful people, for years.

Not eaxctly a property nightmare - but definitely o[ptimistic pricing. Love the location and river frontage of the refurbished one, though. If we worked from home semi-permanently, I would consider that house. I like the area, and love the idea of Thames frontage with an old house. I could deal with having to commute to London a couple of days a week. Every day? No thank you.
