Thank you. Our builder tells me that he can provide whatever we need. So, we'll go with as wide as we can get.

Work is coming on. Steel ties today and Monday, with a concrete pour on Tuesday. Sadly, I'll be in London that day, so I'll miss it.

Set up an old phone as an ip camera and view it remotely? (Assuming you have a view of the proceedings from a window in your house) That's what I did to check progress on my build while I was at work smile
I've got one of those time lapse cams that builders use set up to record both the garage build and subsequently the planting of Mrs B's Hanging Gardens of Babylon replica.

Trouble is, I wont know if it's working correctly until I check the results in April. frown

@ Timbuktu. Thanks for that. Though, I'd better leave the builders to get on with their work. The last thing they need is me sticking my oar in. hehe

Hmmm... I set mine up as 1 frame per five minutes, as the instructions suggested. I've a feeling 1fpm is better.

Thanks for that. A lot to digest. Hopefully, our doors will be more straightforward, being your basic, swing type, wooden ones.

That shuttering looks a work of art (well on my phone screen at least)
I did my own ..... it worked but it was nowhere on the scale of that. I’m impressed smile
They've been working on the steelworks, Thursday, Friday and today.

It's back breaking work and as one of the guys just remarked "after tomorrow no one will ever see it."

Arrived back in Suffolk late last night to find concrete laid as planned. The timber, steel and bricks arrive today, with construction beginning on Monday.

Seeing the pad gives me a better idea of size. I believe that a 6.5 x 6.0 garage will be perfect for our current and any future needs. But, it won't be too big for its position.

We'll only know for sure I suppose, when the roof goes on.

Can't tell from the photo, but did you have the floor power-floated?
No. I asked and the builders told me that they used a metal bar, then a large plastic pipe was pulled across.

It's witchcraft as far as I'm concerned!

Brickwork is coming along. Bricklayer should be finished by Wednesday, weather permitting.

I'm unable to upload a photo due to the rubbish PH picture uploader and a "522 error" frown

I think so. It is a steel stanchion. It's not on site yet. So, I'm not sure how big it is.

It's you. Plus, I used 'panorama' to get it all in shot. So, the perspective's warped.

But, mostly, it's you. hehe

Actually he is right, the floor is sagging in the picture. I presume its actually ok though.
The floor is completely level. The pan in panoramic mode gives a false perspective.

I would go out and take a 'regular' shot. However, it's bucketting down with rain so you'll just have to take my word for it. biggrin
