Is the conservatory going to be open to the rest of the house or blocked off?

The plans suggest that all existing walls will remain so the conservatory will be 'bolted on' to the existing building.

Personally I would have planned the downstairs layout differently but everyones priorities are different.

Been busy tonight, the 3meter run of units fitted, just!!!!! Talk about snug.

Electrics done too, PIR operated LED downlights work fantastically well.

Tall unit houses display & HDR for CCTV cameras along with vac & ironing board.

I've got a ceiling-mounted pull cord light switch in my downstairs loo. Would one of those fit in the hole created by removing the pull cord and work ok even though it's in the corner of the room?

You'd need to enlarge the hole

Maybe not, you would need a neutral at the switch to make the pir work, it depends on how its been wired. If there is just one twin and earth cable at it then no.

The office is coming together well. Furniture is a make do until we find something else we like.

Ignore the blue chair, it's my step ladder!

Got two out of the three worktops fitted now, the third one has been made incorrectly by the manufacturer, 320mm rad instead of 220mm rad, so they are remaking.

Hi IN5IGHT, I am curious about your PIR operated down lights. Which rooms do you have them in? Would they be suitable for a lounge or would they switch off if no one moved for a while, watching a film for example? They sound great for passage ways, kitchens etc.

It will go off if you stand/sit still for a while. The delay is programmable. I wouldn't use in a lounge.
