Our cat is a very efficient killer. He specialises in Rabbits but also brings in plenty of mice too. He lives outside a lot when the weather is warmer. If you live in a flat you will have to work out how he can get in and out ( cat flap ).
Our chap loves to bring us the stuff he catches, and we often have rabbits running around in the lounge ! He can easily catch them alive.

I kept seeing a rat on my patio so set some rat traps, not true if these are baby rats or mice?
But this one was a rat..
And these are rats..
I shot the last one I saw and I haven't seen any for months now. But I usually catch a few mice in the garage..
I also get quite a few squirrels in the garden, so I use this to deal with them..

Back again...
Watching TV on Sunday and saw a mouse run across the room. Caught overnight and disposed of on Monday. That was mouse 2.
Tonight - hear rustling whilst in the office and go into the lounge to see a mouse on the table nibbling on my jaffa cakes that were still in their packaging. Only got them out to eat whilst surfing. Thats now mouse 3.
It's rented accommodation, I hate the buggers. Where does the responsibility fall for sorting out properly? There's obviously a problem somewhere in the flat and I want to sort it out with more efficiency than leaving traps out and hoping for the best.

OP could it be one of your neighbours, flat below etc, have a mouse problem? they can get through a hole the size of a pencil so if there are a few in the flat below they will soon find their way up to yours, climbing up waste pipes, in walls etc. Maybe worth checking if any others have a problem? then either get the landlord or council in to sort it.

Just in case anyone was interested.
Mouse was caught today in a humane trap and released into Epsom Downs alive!
Trap is back out in case he has any friends left.
Oh great, cheers for that! Just dump the little Bugger somewhere near me, why don't you!!!Mouse was caught today in a humane trap and released into Epsom Downs alive!

We had mice a couple of years ago - there's nothing like an 8yr old sticking broccoli down the back of the TV cabinet if you want to encourage a rodent infestation - and an electric rat trap was definitely the answer!
I put one down with some peanut butter as bait. Five nights, five dead mice, never seen any - or any droppings - since.
