Just curious about the reducing earning power bit. I can certainly see why the court would take a dim view of an artificial change in circs IOT reduce any maintenance/influence an asset split. But what happens if the stress of a constant battle over niff-naff and trivia wears you down to the point that your GP signs you off work for a while and suggests that for the sake of your health you go and potter about 3 days a week in a garden centre, or helping out the CAB or something?

What make is the washing machine, really impressed its lasted 15 years..................but seriously, as I suggested earlier, warn your lawyer that you may need to get the court to enforce a minimum sale amount so that the court will hear evidence from a proper valuer, her side can do the same; the judge then says any proceedable offer over £XXXX will be accepted.

If you don't do this it could run and run, who is paying the bills on the house currently such as insurance, maintenance, utilities etc

She's shown her hand, you're never going to get that so you might as well get that court mandated minimum sale amount.

She'll always find a way to block what you want no matter how reasonable (simply because you're you, the bad guy), so you have to take away the options.

Pay the money and get rid of her. Life is too short for this st.

And remember: maintaining your dignity and integrity is priceless.

As the old saying goes...

If you lend someone £100 and never see them again

It was money well spent !

The stress must be awful, I hope you are trying to keep yourself well though all this. Decent sleep, exercise and eating properly. You need to be there for your boy.

If the key thing is a regular occurrence then buy a cheap digital key safe and always deposit your keys in that. Then the next ploy will be blocking you in with her car!

I still can't quite understand why you don't get a crash pad but notwithstanding that surely you can keep your keys etc on your person and park your car on the road?

Bike in storage - all your precious/valuable things where she can't get at them.

Even if you get your own stty bedsit you will have your own place to kip and have a wash etc. You can still be with your lad when you want to be as you don't have to stay there all the time.

She sounds so fking mental that it can only end in serious tears unless you do everything you can to avoid it.

I get that - but surely you must go to work and have some private time somewhere?

A cheap place to store your gear and get your st together every so often would do you wonders. You can still sleep at the main house most nights - just tell her you are working on a case a couple of times a week.

Anyway - I am being a typical bloke and trying to solve situations that I know fk all about instead of providing a sympathetic ear.

Sounds st - but it will come to an end eventually.

You're brave. I'd have waited until April to write the closure post.
