I had a nest in my wall. Mrs OB found a bee-man on Facebook, he came out that afternoon, charged me £35 and sprayed everything with this white powder. They've not been back. Good luck, they are bds.

Have done it a couple of times. If you can see the nest, you can hit it from far enough away.
Kill the fkers, don't make them angry and wet!!

Wasp killer powder, in a squeezy bottle, from your local garden centre. Wait until the evening (they'll be less active) and give it a few puffs into the entrance. All dead within a day or two. Job done.
Some years ago when i wanted to get rid of a wasps nest, a neighbour gave me an aerosol can of some concoction that you could spray on the nest from several feet away. That worked fine.

A couple of months ago I tried Rentokill foam - didn't work. Popped into an agricultural place near me and bought a container of Doff Wasp Nest Killer £3.20. My wasps were under the eaves. Crept out at dusk, sprayed near the entrance and next day no wasps to be seen. I still have half the container left.

Missed out the obligatory fireworks.

Can't believe nobody has yet suggested the hammering of frozen sausages in to the entrance of the aforementioned nest of simmering vitriol.

Personally, I leave nests alone till september, wasps eat greenfly and small garden pests so do serve some useful purpose. But if they're causing a nuisance, a bit of powder or a can of nest foam late evening will suffice.

Wasps are useful garden predators of other insects.
Don't bother them, they won't bother you.

Had thought about it, but given the garden is somewhat verging on being a jungle i didn;t feel like watching the whole garden going up in smoke hehe
But thats the rest of your garden sorted, as well as the wasps! Result!

Surely driving a Golf GTI or other german FWD hatchback into the nest is a better option?

If they are not causing you any major issues, leave them alone to do their thing until autumn, probably mid October, and they will fly away to new climes and won't ever return to the same nest.

The local wasp man told us this two years ago when we had a nest in our eaves, and he was proven to be correct, much to my surprise.

Going out to buy wasp killer is the easy way out. Every man I know goes into the garage and sees what he has in the tool, box to deal with it. I used silocone. Sealed up hole in wall. Job done.

In my bird box, golf clubbing straight off the tree. Job done.

One in a hedge, accidental strimmer straight through the center. Job done.

One on the eaves, can of wd40. Job done.

In all my attempts iv only been left with 1 sting. Although asmi age, I gain my powerfully built directer type body and cwnt run as fast anymore. Bring them on I say. Its a great afternoon out.

There is a lot of misconception on this thread, I've been studying wasps for many years and through trail an error I have found they hate two things, unlike bees wasps hate jam and find the smell repulsive, they will remain in the hive if they smell jam.

Secondly urine kills them stone dead so you should liberally cover yourself in jam and urinate on the nest, don't worry it is quite safe.

Film it and post it up so we may all see how effective it is.

I am not a powerfully built director unfortunately rofl

There is a crap load of long grass round the stump making it very hard to see where the entrance they are using in the stump. Hopefully today or tommorow ill head out to the shops and pick up some wasp killer and head out in the dead of night to see if i can work out where it is and then attack the fkers!

If any one sees a man screaming round the garden in the dead of night being chased by a swarm of wasps that will be me rofl

In daylight identify the rough area that they are going in and out of.
Tonight empty a box of ant powder around there.
As the workers return they will drag it into the nest killing the queen within a day or so.
Once that happens they can't survive - this is how the guy explained it to me the last time I called someone out.
Since then I just DIY using the ant powder.

Well exterminator guy turned up this morning, looked at the rose bush stump, put on his full bee keeping suit and squirted it with a load of powder that he had in huge bottle that he had.

I was watching through one of the windows in the kitchen and i couldn't believe how many wasps actually swarmed out of the stump eek

Exterminator guy strutted back inside saying not to let the dog out for the day as the wasps were very angry with him hehe

Only problem i may have now its thats its decided to absolutley hammer down with rain 5 minutes after the guy left and im wondering how effective the powder will now be.....

Cross fingers its done its job smile

Are the wasps gone? Or has the OP been stung to death?
